Some men are fascinated with straight hair. My husband has curly wavy hair and everyone in his family has the same hair and some have straight hair, my daughther's hair is long and wavy, but my hair is kinky and when I met him, I had a relaxer. Now that I'm going natural, I see him looking at my hair like it's a foreign object. I feel a little uncomfortable, but I know I am not going to use chemicals in my hair anymore. This is something he needs to get over and support my decision and love me for who I am. I'm not going to let anyone decide what I should look like. Can't wait to see it. When my husband and I first began planning our family a few years ago, I started wondering what my future daughter might think of her own hair if she always saw me straightening mine. I stopped a few years ago and although the transition hasn't always been easy, I've fallen in love with my natural hair. I’m really glad that Chris Rock did this movie. Can’t wait to see it.
