My flat iron now sits in a drawer, only to be used when I am feeling a "straight" day ( which happens once in a great while). I am so thankful to know that there are other girls out there that embrace the curls. I am constantly being asked " why don't you straigten your hair more often"? I tell them that I enjoy the natural look and don't see a reason to flat iron everyday. Thank you Aimee for allowing the world to see how wonderful curly girls really are! My hair changed from straight/slightly wavy to extreme curls around 6th grade, and just within the last couple of years have I been able to "embrace the curl." It makes me sad to see my friends with beautiful curls spend hours flatening their hair. And you're right...though curls can be a bother sometimes, it really is fun to be a curlie!! I love walking down the sidewalk with my hair bouncing and having people say, "Oh my word? Are those curls natural?"
