I have begun this- a little over a month ago. It's been hard styling my natural hair but I have actually enjoyed not putting heat on it. I would normally flat iron my hair once a week or every two weeks(depends on dandruff). Now I look forward to my weekly deep conditioning. Aphogee is a great products for heat damaged hair!

This one made me smile :) I've recently gone through the process of putting away the flat iron and embracing my curls for what they are--a part of me.

I read this and cried with snot and everything. I realized that, yes, I can be beautiful with curly hair and I don't have to straighten it to feel beautiful. I have people tell me how beautiful my curls are when I do leave it curly. I think, "Yeah, and I can't brush it. You try having the hassle of curly hair." Now I understand what it must be like for a woman to have lifeless, stick straight hair that falls longing to have bouncy locks that are romanticized everywhere around the world. My future mother-in-law recently told someone that when my hair was curly that it was absolutely gorgeous. I didn't know she thought that. Her son has the frizz free, smooth hair that i have always longed for throughout the years, and he adoringly loves my hair when I let it go curly. His eyes light up and that wonderful smile begins to beam especially bright when he sees me step into the room with curls. I know my children will have curly hair because it is a dominant trait. Thank you for this article. Thank you.
