  I found Passent through an Alexandria, VA salon review on this board. I went to her 3 times and had great results. The last two times, she messed it up horribly. I have not gone back to her in over a year.

  After reading all of the great recommendations about her on this site I decided to give Passent a try. How extremely disappointing!! I went in with beautiful, albeit long & in need of a cut, spiral curls and came out with a layered mess!! I can no longer just "scrunch and go" and I'm so very unhappy with the cut that I went back to the salon today & got my $75 back! I have never done that in my life!! I don't know what kind of curly hair she is so great with but it definitely wasn't mine. Now I have to wait for this mess to grow out before I try finding a good curly hair stylist again. :(

  I found Passent on this site and after going to her for about 1 year I can truly say that she is the only hair stylist that has ever given me a good haircut (I'm a 3B). Not only that, but she spends time looking at your hair when you come in and listens to you when you tell her what you like and don't like. I am devasted that I moved out of the area and can't use her anymore (at least not regularly). I have recommended her to all of my curly haired friends and they all love her. The only bad thing is that she is only in Arlington 2 days a week and is very busy - so you have to plan ahead.

  I combed this board for a few months and narrowed it down from Passent or another lady in md who had wonderful reviews. Passent won for 2 reasons one she was in my city, and two a recommendation from another curly head about what Passent did for her and her daughter who had the same grade made me go okay I will try her. I have been cutting my own hair for 3 yrs plus, due to always having bad saloon experiences. Passent is very nice and she asked me why i don't like coming to saloons. When I asked her not to cut it to make it look slimmer she obliged. She listened and gave me a great cut. Told me the many ways products can work in my hair to achieve different effects. After the cut she she did a spiral look. My second time with Passent I asked her to blow dry it strait, which is rare for me. I have a few of my curly head workmates getting ready to try her as well.
