I went to Marie after reading other reviews on this site, and after having been with the same stylist for 20+ years. It was difficult for me to proactively change, but I needed to. Marie was caring, understanding, and very intuned to providing me with what I wanted and making every effort to ensure I was pleased. She assured me that I would leave there looking "cute" .... and I did. I will definitely be seeing her many more times. My hair never looked better!

Thanks reviewers, for turning me on to this salon and to Marie! Most all my previous stylists have in some way tried to work against my curly hair so I'd have to be very direct in telling them what to do. Marie clearly knows the "curly head," and she took her time checking out my head shape and my hair. This is probably the best haircut I've had -- and I can say this almost a month after getting it cut! The salon is sooo pleasant (she gave me coffee) and she's very calming, so it was definitely worth paying a little more than I usually do. I highly recommend Marie!

I love my new hair "trim!” Marie was very careful not to take too much off. My new style frames my face showing off my curls. The curls are more defined and they lay very nicely. I am impressed and receiving lots of complements! The thing I am like most is wearing my hair down and not getting so frustrated with the way it looks, that I need to pull it up. My curls are free to be.

I went to this salon based on the previous review. That fellow mentioned no longer works here. Marie is their stylist now and she did an amazing job. She offered a consultation before our first cut, which is awesome. One of the very first things she did was recommend the CG book. (I'm a new curly girl, and had been at it only about one week before I went in for a cut, so my hair is in recovery mode, lol.) The cut was the best cut I've ever gotten. She ended up adding some layers in the back for me (some sort of star part?), and used texturizing scissors on the ends, which has made an amazing difference in the way my curls lay. The only "issue" I had was the products she used to style my hair - NOT cg friendly. I am completely confident she will be open to either using different products or ones that I bring next time around. Overall it was a great experience!

    Review:
I'd been going to Kevin for the four years that I was in high school. While his prices are a little high, it's worth it for the ambiance and his way of cutting curly hair (I've never seen it before or since). I also love that he uses different hair products, especially since they are sensitive since he does have allergies to a lot of common hair products. I believe it's roughly $40 for a wash, cut, and style.
