- Kennedy has been cutting my 3A hair for about 10 years. I've followed her from Mario Tricoci on Michigan Ave, to her own salon in Lincoln Park, to Ulta on State St.
She gives me a hybrid cut - I go in with it curly, she assesses what I need done, washes it and cuts it wet, blow dries it straight, and then cuts it again once it's dry. The end result is a style that looks fabulous either straight or curly, although I style it curly about 90% of the time.
I also go to a Deva-trained stylist in the DC area (who cuts my dry curls prior to washing them), and she always remarks that my Chicago stylist did a great job cutting my curls.
