- I have been getting my hair cut & colored by LuAnn for nearly 8 years. She is by far the best beautician I have ever been to. She always listens to exactly what her clients want. I am always being told how cute my hair is, even by complete strangers. The whole experience of her shop is so comfortable, fun and you will exit feeling so good about how your hair looks......always!!
In the spring every year she holds a contest and the prize is FREE hair appointments for a year, whatever you always have gotten done in the past on a regular basis. Your name goes in a fishbowl for every referral and then her youngest client picks the winner. I am thrilled to say this past spring I WAS THE
WINNER. Needless to say, it by far is the greatest gift I have ever won.
Having been born with naturally curly hair, until I met LuAnn and she showed me how my curls can always look good, it was a challenge. I love my hair style since LuAnn has been doing my hair & it is a great feeling knowing my hair cut & color always looks perfect.

- I have type 3b to 3c hair and have tried to manage these curls for years with every curly hair product that that has crossed my path, from gels to moose to hot oil treatments. There was even a point in time when I chemically straightened my hair to get it under control. Over the past 20 years I've tried several different hair stylists. All recommended the same hair style - natural, long, one-length with gel as the product of choice for weight. I have so much curl and volume to my hair that it was always difficult to wear my hair down with out it forming into a large pyramid of curly friz. It never failed, by the end of the day, I would have it tied back in some way or another.
I've been on and off this site for about a year now just researching products etc... I decided to give one of the recommended stylists a try. I visited Luann's salon with an open mind to let her do what ever she wanted. I must honestly say after all I've been through, she is a miracle worker, a true artist with curls. Her cutting dry technique made so much sense. I walked out of her salon with the cutest most sophisticated looking stack bob. I'm a new women. I can't believe I actually have a hair style!! It's so fabulous. I can't tell you how many complements I've received. Plus, she was so informative. Luann educated me on different products, gel, cream, oils that would work effectively with my curls and how to apply them, and several styling techniques for my new do. I feel like a new women! Thanks Luann.

- I'm a guy with very thick, wavy, difficult to manage hair. For this reason, I've kept my hair shaved pretty short for most my life. So anyway, 2 years ago my sister announces her wedding plans... and says she wants me to wear my hair long for the pictures. *gulp*
Fast forward 2 years of wearing hats and lots of hair gel, and I find myself 2 weeks from the quickly approaching wedding date. My hair is now long, but as thick, wavy, and difficult to manage as ever. It resembles something you'd expect to find on a caveman. This was the state of things when I met LuAnn - and I can only imagine what she was thinking she got herself into when I introduced her to my chaotic head of hair!
My appointment started with a friendly consultation, where she asked lots of questions about my hair preferences and how I'd like it styled. She took the time to make certain she knew exactly what I was wanting before getting started. Next she washed my hair while giving me a crash course in Long Hair 101. The educational tips and techniques alone were worth the price of the haircut.
I don't remember the exact order of events (I was engrossed in the conversation), but my hair was cut, blowdryed, and straightened. The entire process took a couple hours but flew by quickly. At one point, LuAnn even asked one of her other regular customers if they could push their appointment back an hour since my appointment was running long (did I mention I have a LOT of hair?)
In the end, my hair looked great! She had brought order to chaos and put to rest my wedding picture worries. Not only did I now have a wedding-prep game plan, but I had the everyday know-how on how to manage my long hair.
I highly, highly recommend LuAnn! She's an absolute pro at her trade, while also professional and friendly. I've seen a handful of hair stylists in the past and LuAnn is the first one I plan on returning to.

- Luann is the best stylist that has ever cut my hair! She's been cutting my curly hair for over five years, and she knows my curls better than I do.
Before Luann, I always dreaded getting my hair cut because the stylists didn't understand my texture and curl pattern or the bounce factor that makes any wet haircut shorter when curly hair dries. But with Luann, I know my hair will turn out perfect!
Luann cuts my hair dry, conditions my hair, and works with my curls, and I always get compliments! My curls may have been God-given, but without Luann, they wouldn't be as pretty!

- I LOVE my curls and so does LuAnn. Not only is she an expert at cutting and styling my curly hair she has taught me to get the same look at home. I would also call her the "Queen of Color". She made me look and feel so beautiful on my wedding day.( My husband agreed), One can't help but feel comfortable and pampered by LuAnn at the Defining Image Hair Salon!

- Luann has been cutting my hair for over 5 years. My cut is my natural curls in the back and flat ironed to smooth the front. She always takes so much time with each cut to make my curly hair look the best. I truly get strangers asking where I get my hair cut and I always feel my hair looks great. Curly hair can be such a "gift" if given the right cut and a stylist who shows and helps you achieve the best!

- I got the best curly haircut ever from LuAnn. She's the only stylist in the area that I could find who cuts hair dry. She's very informative, really takes her time to tell you about what she's doing and why she's doing it. She's also very interested to learn more about curly hair. She takes the time to listen to me about what products I use, how I use them etc. My experience with other stylists has always been that they feel they know more about hair than me and they aren't really interested to learn more about curly hair. LuAnn is exactly the opposite! I highly recommend her for a curly cut!
