- I was very disappointed both times Annie cut my hair. I left behind a great stylist in Colorado and have been nervous to try anyone since. She cut out all the beautiful layers my former stylist had put in and then didn't even dry my hair. But, I gave her the benefit of the doubt and tried her again a few months later. That time, I don't think she even cut all of my hair. I couldn't tell that anything had changed and my ends still felt like they needed trimmed. Then she wanted to try a new technique on me for using a diffuser and proceeded to make a rat's nest out of my hair. I went to have coffee with a friend after and she was shocked that a professional had jacked it up that badly. My advice? Not worth the money.

- Like many curly girls, I've had bad experiences with salons, but because of the reviews on nc.com, I decided to take a chance and get my hair cut before I head back to school. I decided to choose Christiina because, honestly, Annie wasn't free for another few weeks. But Christiina really listened to what I had to say about my hair, and actually DID what we discussed! She understood how curly hair works, and how different it can all be. Very friendly, and I'm quite happy with the results. I will be returning to this salon in the future, and I recommend it for you! = )

- Really good job with my crazy curly hair. Kelly took the time to learn about my hair and find out exactly what I wanted done to it. She cut very little at a time to ensure that I was happy. She asked what I wanted then she offered her professional opinion. I have found very few people who I can trust to cut my hair and in turn who can cut my hair well. She did an outstanding job!!! I love what she did to my hair and will return to see Kelly from now on.

- This lady is awesome, not only is she cool but she knows whats up when it comes to curls. Every section of my hair is a different texture and most people dont realize that when cutting my hair but it was one of the first things she noticed. Also she didn't hack away at my hair which was awesome. I asked for an inch & a half that thats what she did. this lady is brilliant! I'll diffently be going back anytime I need my hair cut, and thats a lot coming from me because im extremely picky when it comes to people messing with my hair with a pair of siccors. ^_^

- At the time I found this site, there were four reviews. I was impressed and decided to give it a try. I did have to change my appointment, due to my daughter being sick, and Annie was super accommodating and I was willing to wait. Well upon walking in the salon I found it to be simple and beautiful. It also smells lovely. Annie sat me down and we 'talked'. She listened to my fears, worries and ideas. It had been two years since I had been to a real salon. She then gave me her ideas and we had a plan. After a lovely head/neck massage, shampoo and conditioning, and a superior cut....I look GREAT! My curls are manageable and I am just thrilled with the results. I also made the promise that I would see her sooner than two years. I highly recommend Annie and the Green Salon & Day Spa. May even try some of there other services as well. I am so pleased to have found a wonderful stylist here in Spokane.

- After reading all the awesome reviews on Annie, I really wanted to see her. I am impulsive about my hair, however and she is SUPER BUSY! I read the most recent review and decided to try Christiina. She is so cool! She really understood my curl and was kind about the weird things that my hair does. I felt like she listened to me and gave me wonderful styling tips and was able to help me like my curls even more than I already did! This is maybe the best curly hairstyle I have ever had in my life!! She is simply a great Curly Girl hairdresser.

- WOW! Let me start off by saying that everything that people have to say about Annie is absolutely true. Not only is she incredibly friendly but really listened to what I had to say. When I went in i was concerned about keeping my length and about getting more volume on top. She listened to all my other problems (like my last hair cut being a botched layering job) and gave me her input. . So, with her input I opted for the long layers (I was still too afraid to go shorter!). She cut my hair wet and used a really interesting technique and completely fixed the mess that the last stylist i went to left on my hair. About Christiine...I needed a haircut before I left Spokane, it was a little short notice, Annie wasn't available so I decided that I would be safe with one of the salons other stylist. I was a little nervous about what the results would be but I booked an appointment with Christiina. I had absolutely zero reason to be nervous. Christiina took plenty of time to ask me about my routine and closely looked at my hair. This time I opted for short layers and she completely agreed and gave me suggestions on length. She cuts curly hair dry so that she can see the length and she also combs it out. I know most curlies get very nervous when it comes combs but she was very, very gentle. In the end I have never left this salon without a giant smile on my face (Literally, I'm giddy when I leave this salon). Amazing knowledge, cut and technique. I would recommend this salon to anybody.

- While I didn't have Annie do a lot to my hair, I did ask that she trim and shape it a little, in an effort to assist with the asthetics of my curls while attempting to grow my hair out. She spent a good amount of time assessing my hair and curl pattern, explained why I have some of the issues I have (the grow pattern of my hair itself and the "halo" of curl challenged section that runs around my entire head). We discussed my cleansing and conditioning regime, and she proceded to trim the ends of each curl, explaining that she was cutting each end with a tapering in the direction of the curl, in order to avoid those random ends that stick out like antenna. All in all it was a good experience and definately encouraging to sit down with a stylist who understands the different needs of curly hair versus straight hair (or simply understands that there is a difference in needs for that matter). Annie was great and when it comes time to actually develope a style for my hair, rather then this grow out experiment phase, she will be the one I go to.

- I second the previous reviews wholeheartedly! Annie is a great listener, and she gave me a lot of good advice and a great haircut. Due to previous haircuts I had been wearing a ponytail for the better part of the last couple years. The haircut I got from Annie looks beautiful and styled, and I finally feel good about wearing my hair down. I wore it down to work today and received several compliments! I highly recommend Annie and Green Salon!

- A lady that truly understands a curly girl and her needs! She listened to what I had to share and gave me her input and at the end, I am SO ridiculously happy with my hair! My hair was a lion's mane, big, poofy, rough, separated, just...unfortunate. She tamed it without altering it drastically and basically gave me the curls I've always wanted, could never have no matter what I did, and made me even more happy to be a true curly girl! A big plus is that the salon is 'green', hence the name. Environmentally friendly, minimalist without being drab, and super friendly, this was the best salon experience to date. And I am DEFINITELY going back to this genius with the scissors. Thank you Annie for your magic!

- I would recommend Annie at the Green Salon to any curly girl living in, or visiting, Spokane. Annie really took the time to listen to my needs and did not rush with my cut. I also love that they use eco friendly products that won't damage my hair or the environment. It was the best cut I have had in years. You will not be disappointed.

- If you have curly hair, you know exactly how difficult it is to find someone who not only knows how to cut and style curly hair, but also knows how to LISTEN to you and heed the knowledge you have of your own hair, as no two curly heads are alike. After weeks of considering what kind of style I wanted, I found Annie through the recommendation on this site (THANK YOU ERIKA!), and no words can do proper justice to her talent, but I'll try. I had decided to cut bangs, which I haven't had for over 20 years, so I was pretty nervous/excited about the change. Annie carefully listened to my diatribe about my worries, my hair routine, and desires for what I wanted. After adding her own thoughts (with my approval, of course!), she created a masterpiece of a hairSTYLE. It was exactly what I had envisioned to want; it not only looks great, but feels fantastic! If you have ever dreamed of someday having a style instead of just hair, GO TO ANNIE. It will be the best decision you've ever made for yourself and your beautiful curly hair!

- Annie knows her way around a head full of curls. She doesn't treat you like an idiot. She appreciates that every girl knows something about idiosyncrasies of her own curls, but she identified whorls, cowlicks, and straight spots that no stylist has ever addressed. She gave terrific suggestions and used a very professional technique to make the most of my curls. I am very happy to report that I kept my length and natural curls, but now I have a STYLE!!
