Roxie has been cutting my curls for over 2 years now, she is the best cutter I have ever had, never a bad cut at Mayapple....Her dry cut is the secret and the the way her fingers just know the curls and scissors do the rest! Everyone with curls needs to see Roxie for happy curls!

Roxie is an intelligent, hip, insightful hair stylist. Most importantly she RESPECTS the CURL!!! She won't try to straighten or thin your curls, unless that is what you want. She is very good at reading her clients' tastes. She gives fashionable, hip haircuts that suit the person and takes into account face shape, etc. You can text or leave a voicemail for her and she returns calls promptly to set the appointment. She stays on schedule and I have never had to wait for more than a few minutes after I show up for my appointment. Her shop is family friendly, there are little kid toys and books to keep the kiddos occupied while mom or dad gets their haircut. My kids absolutely hate getting haircuts, but they ADORE Roxie. I've been searching for Roxie all my life and finally found someone who can do a great job with curls. Everyone else always just botched it or straightened it, since that was what they knew how to do. Roxie Rocks.

Roxie does a great job with my curly hair. She was the first one to cut it dry - which made all the difference. I highly recommend her!

Roxie was trained in the Lorraine Massey/Curly girl/Devachan method of hair cutting, so she cut my hair dry. She did a fantastic job! I normally wear my hair medium length (above my shoulders) and I wanted to go shorter, which seems to be Roxie's specialty. I've always had my hair cut in layers and as a native New Yorker didn't want to shell out $$$ for a cut at any of the curly salons (Devachan, Ouidad, Christo, etc.). This is the cheapest and possibly best cut I've had! It's very short, like a bob in the back, with longer lengths to frame my face. One caveat, the only way to make an appointment is to leave Roxie a voice mail. She was out of town when I called, so I had to wait 2 days before knowing whether or not I could even make an appointment. No hours are posted on their website and she works part-time. I also posted on this website about a great stylist at D. Cole in Sarasota, Florida (I've moved a bit in the past few years!) I still maintain a good recommendation for her, but she was inconsistent.
