- I had a great experience with Sharon. She was so thorough with me and always asked me if she should do this or that before doing it. I never had that before. I have verycurly hair and people usually chop away and dont know what to do with it or try to charge me tons of money. Not here!
Sharon gave me tips and recommended products I could use to improve my hair without any pressure to buy anything. Im very happy and can't wait to come back!

- I found this salon through this website and figured I couldn't go wrong with such great reviews. I was scared to go to a salon in fear that someone who doesn't know how to cut and style curly hair would ruin my hair. I am so glad that I went! Sharon was on time, so sweet and really took the time to teach me how to care for my curly hair (I'd been doing things wrong all my life!) and understand what look I was wanting. I could not be happier with how my hair turned out!!!! Thank you so much Sharon! I left there with a new-found confidence and my hair is so much easier to care for, not to mention healthier. The products by Surface are amazing! I highly recommend this salon. The receptionist was sweet and professional. I was offered a drink and snacks. The salon is beautiful inside and very clean. A+ all the way!

- The whole Salon has very great customer service! The receptionist at the front was very friendly, and offered us almonds and water or tea while we waited :-). I had a baby in June, and had not had a hair cut in over a year, also I have postpartum hair loss from all of my hormones going back to normal so need less to say, I was do for some TLC on my hair and a little time just for myself.
I have never found a place to be able to cut my curly hair right, the hair stylist always cuts my hair like I have straight hair and so it ends up looking like a huge triangle :-(.
This is the first time, that I just loved the way she cut my hair. I am a hispanic woman with long black thick coarse "D Battery" size curls, and my hair stylist new just what to do! :-)
I wish I could upload a picture, because it just looks fantastic! I love lots and lots of volume with my curls going every which way, with out the frizz and thats just what it looked liked!
The whole experience was awesome and very affordable, trust me. (we are on a very tight budget with my husband only working right now and the new baby)
I can't wait to go again. . . . I received my hair cut in october. . . . so another 6 months for me I believe :-),

- Sharon did really great on giving me more info about my hair. This was the first time i straightened my hair in a year..when i left i had a smile from ear to ear.The products are doing well on my hair..this is the first day so lets see how day 2 will come out.

- I have been going to Monica for several months now and I have never been happier with my hair! From the first time I found the salon, I've been amazed with how Monica maintains a laid back atmosphere and keeps it professional. I lucked up on Monica when I was having a hard time getting my natural hair back to its original softness after having a baby. I had tried many things at home and some did more damage to my hair than I had thought. After keeping a pretty routine schedule with Monica and getting some very basic home hair care tips to help maintain my mane between appointments, I can style my hair easier, it's softer, I don't have the breakage and split ends like I used to. I even brought by 2 year old daughter for a consultant and treatment. All I have to say is this...my daughter asks me every month when is it her turn to see Miss Monica? She"s amazing with her and even Justine the receptionist is amazing. I haven't had the opportunity to meet all the stylists, but my feeling is that everyone is treated like they are a person and not just a name in the book no matter who you go to!

- I love how professional this salon is, starting with the friendly greeting all the way through the customized product form. Aresia took all the time I needed looking at pictures and discussing my hair's strengths and problems to determine the correct cut and style for me. I appreciated her describing the benefits of the Surface products to me while she washed my hair, as well as spending time with me after my cut to decide on which products best suit my needs. I look forward to future visits and seeing improvement in my curl!

- I had a very pleasant experience at Harmoni Salon. I had not had my natural hair blown out or cut in almost 2 years out of fear! The stylist explained all the products as she did my hair and talked me through the entire process. My hair turned out very healthy and shiny after everything was complete. I will definitely return when I travel back to San Antonio.

- So this was my first experience at a hair salon since I have been natural (2 years and counting) I have very coarsed hair and was a little nervous about having my hair straighten. Sharon made the experience very relaxing. She started with my consultation and then explained all the products to me that she will be using. When she began washing my hair I felt like I was in heaven the wash was wonderful and all the products used smelled so awesome. She steamed my hair and while it was steaming I enjoyed a nice cup of chai tea and almonds. Now it's time to blow dry and straighten. It took a while to blow dry my hair but I was expecting that because I have a lot of hair (my husband say I look like the lion from the wizard of oz because my mane is so huge lol. ) But once she finished she suggested that I should get my ends trimmed bc it was difficult to curl and my hair would frizz in this San Antonio humidity. So She hooked me up with Aresia who then trimmed my hair to the T. She cut just enough and styled it. Omg it's been a week and the compliments of my family and co-workers keeps rolling in. My hair is still straight and flows in the wind. I really recommend this salon to everyone the environment is professional and relaxing. I will be going back soon!

- First and foremost, I loved the atmosphere of the salon and I really wanted this to be MY salon. However after getting my hair done there, I'd rather not go back. I went in there with hair that was pretty close to midback but left with hair barely reaching my shoulders after Aresia blow dried and straightened it. She claimed I needed to make up for the trims I hadn't gotten and insisted that my hair was damaged without fully explaining how my hair was damaged (no heat damage, no breakage, a few splits). She was also very rough with my hair, I am by no means tender headed but my scalp was sore for 2 DAYS after my visit. I left the salon looking like I put a fork into a light socket! This salon didn't do anything to qualify as "specializing in natural hair" besides using organic products that did nothing for my hair. I had to go home, put some vatika oil on my hair and tie it down before it became presentable again.

- Monica is great! I have curly frizzy hair and usually get a devachan style cut, but I've been going to Austin for it. I looked for a stylist in San Antonio and found Harmoni. She told me that she can cut wet or dry, btw. I decided to get a bunch of my hair taken off and brought in some photos of styles I like and styles I don't like. She listened to me and gave me one of the best cuts I've ever had. Highly recommend.

- Not only did I love the results after the shampoo, steam treatment, cut and style, I was very impressed with Monica's knowledge of my hair type and condition (very coarse and dry). I enjoyed the atmosphere of the salon and how professional the staff were. Monica I will see you again very soon and look forward to seeing the results over the next year!!! I was honestly considering returning to a relaxer but I think I will stay natural now seeing that sometimes I can wear it straight when I want. Thanks again!!!

- Monica did an awesome job. She was prompt (no waiting), knowledgeable (explained each step of the process and the purpose of each of the products she used), and skilled (cut and styled very well). The atmosphere was peaceful and comfortable and the staff was very friendly. I can honestly say this was the best salon experience I have ever had.

- Monica was awesome with my hair! She explained the process and all of the products she was using. I'm in the beginning process of transitioning from relaxed hair to natural, so it's a scary thing to have someone new do my hair. Monica was so nice and made me feel at ease. My hair feels so light weight and flexible. My favorite thing was probably the steam treatment. It made my hair even softer. I've already made my next appointment.

- I have been cutting and styling my hair for years because of either bad haircuts or overall bad experiences in salons when it come to my natural hair. Monica was perfect at understanding what I wanted to do, explaining every step of the process and making suggestions to me to help me reach my goals. I plan on following her suggested regimine for a while and I will post back about my results. So far so great!

- I came to Harmoni for my first time not too long ago and I must say I was very impressed. I was treated very well by all of the staff. My stylist Sharon made me feel very comfortable and was very knowledgable of the products she was using on my hair. Just having it washed felt phenomenal. She has advised me on my hair and what treatment would work best. I loved my hair when I left and the style I had lasted for several weeks. I will be returning for my next appointment in 2 weeks and look forward to it!

- I've been going to Harmoni salon for the past year and are pleased with the results. I'm picky about stylists and who I will let cut and style my hair, however Monica helped me get my hair healthy and it has stayed healthy. My 3C curls absolutely love the steam treatments every month and i keep up with a trim every 7-8 weeks. Using the organic products has helped make my hair not feel weighed down. Monica is helpful and knowledgable about hair, you can tell she is passionate about what she does. I'll keep coming back to Harmoni Salon!

- Monica made my hair a delight to have again! been natural for over 2 years and didnt really know how to tame my hair. I suffer from course tightly curled hair with a sensitive scalp. So glad i found someone who can help me continue my hair journey with ease. I loved the products and the fact that Monica walked me through every process step by step and gave me advice on how to better take care of my kinks. - Been natural for over 2 years now and have experienced quite a roller coaster ride. Never knew anything about natural hair salons until I found it on this app and after going there once Monica managed to tame my hair and make it feel softer and healthier then its ever been in forever. She explained to me the problem with my hair and walked me through every step. Can't wait to go back next week. My hair and I both have found a new way to get along thanks to Monica at harmoni :)

- I have been natural for a little over a year and have been trying to find a stylist that knew had to take care of natural hair. I am glad to say that I have. I had my first visit to Harmoni Salon a few days ago, and it will not be my last. My stylist was very knowledgeable about my type of hair and explained every step/process that she used throughout. I walked into Harmoni Salon frustrated with trying to find a stylist and my hair. I walked out feeling like a new woman, feeling calm an at ease that I had finally found my new home for my hair. I would recommend this salon to anyone looking to find a salon.

- I haven't been to a salon in over 10 years. Every time I went I had the worst time no one knew how to take care of my hair. I found Harmoni on the internet and decided to try something new. I had the best experience there. The people are nice and the stylist accommodate you. My hair feels and looks great. I know for fact that I've found the first salon that I'm willing to go back for a second time and tell my family and friends all about it.

- 27 year old male. I had not gotten a hair cut in six years because stylists always butchered my curly hair and left me looking goofy. I figured it was better just to grow it long and not worry about it.
Looking for a change, I did some research and, on the recommendation of this site, decided to try Harmoni Salons. Sharon was my stylist. She did a wonderful job of listening to what I wanted and working through the more nebulous aims of my hair cut (since I had not had a cut in so long I wasn't sure how to accomplish the effect I wanted). I was especially impressed at how she double-checked my approval before starting each next step, so I was never in fear or surprised at where the hair cut went. I appreciated her patience, attentiveness, and creativity. She basically made the style up based on my goals and her own skill, without even a real reference photo to help her.
And the hair cut looked great! I get nothing but compliments on my hair -- it's been three months and I still get compliments on the style. It's getting a little long for my taste now so I'm heading back in for another cut, and of course I'm returning to Harmoni Salons!

- I am new to San Antonio and have very thick curly hair. Over the past 20 years, I have trust exactly 2 people to cut my hair, but they are more than 1000 miles away. Needless to say, I was very apprehensive about going to someone new. I read great reviews about Harmony Salon and Monica in particular, so I decided to give her a chance going for both a cut and color. She was very patient with me and my nerves. We talked at length about what I wanted. The cut was awesome! She completely understands curly hair and what it does at different lengths. I also had her color my roots and do some low lights. It was exactly the color I wanted, but it ended up being too dark around my face. I went back the next day and she completely agreed with what I saw. She had time and fixed it right then and there, no charge. I then received follow up calls asking if I was happy and completely satisfied with my hair. I am so happy I found my stylist in SA and on the first time out!!

- This was hands down the best salon experience I’ve ever had. I was very nervous for my first appointment because I was getting a major hair cut. The atmosphere in the salon is very relaxing and put me at ease (I loved the Peppermint tea). After my cut and color, I felt great. Monica is very knowledgeable about caring for natural African-American hair and she’s attentive to the concerns of her clients. I’m definitely going back.

- Monica is very knowledgeable about natural hair care, and believes in using nothing but vegan and organic products. I love the fact this product can be used on all hair types, so the salon is very integrated and professional. She gets my seal of approval for being the real deal.

- I found this salon by looking for natural hair stylist in San Antonio because I was in the process of transitioning from relaxed hair to natural hair. I had tried cutting my own hair at home and decided that I needed a professional to help me along this journey, so I called for a consultation with Monica. I loved the fact that there is a receptionist that answers the phone, which means that the stylist does not take time away from her clients to answer phones and make appointments. I was able to get in that week, and when I walked in I was immediately greeted by both the receptionist and stylist. The atmosphere is so relaxing and serene. Monica spoke with me and helped explain my options and offered to go ahead and get the process started that day. I was so pleased with being able to get a same day appointment and I was catered to the entire time. I left the salon feeling better about my hair and the new journey I was taking knowing that I had someone as knowledgeable about natural hair as Monica. I am definitely going back!
