- Hi to all the curly girls, just to let you know that I moved 5 years ago from Europe and visited a lot of hair salons an none of them could really give the good advice or treatment for curls the most of them are nor really capable to handle curls . Here my story with Katrina . Met her in one of the salon as soon I saw her savior faire ( her professional ) way of doing and using the clips I told her you the first since I moved from Europe who mows how to handle curls. And so I followed her in every step she is doing. - I'm a curly girl. Have been for 66 years. Always looking for someone who knows how to cut curly hair. Have spent thousands of dollars on stylists, product, whatever.!! Used to pay $90. for a Boca haircut!! What a waste that was for years. The stylists had no clue how to work with my hair.
And then last summer I found Katrina of Curls Rock. What a find. She knows curly hair. She knows product. What a relief to find someone who knows what to do with curly hair, especially here in Fla.
We had a benefit for my organization at Curls Rock last year!! what a sight, at least 50 curly girls in one place!!! and at least 6 curly girls from my community alone showed up. Now there are about 20+ Curly Girls from my community that go to Curls Rock & Katrina and Anushka.
Not a day goes by that someone stops me and comments on my curls. I always carry lots of Curls Rock Salon business cards with me..so many women ask me who cuts and highlights my hair! I've been stopped in Publix more times then I can count, a woman followed me down the aisle in CVS, I was at a luncheon just last week and at least 3 women came over to ask about my curls. And then there are the times that I'll say I go to Katrina at Curls Rock and they say "ME TOO"!!! I love my hair now!!!
It's taken me almost a year to get to learn how to work with Katrina's suggestions. there is a learning curve here. Hair habits are hard to break. But I"m doing it and loving it.
I only wish I had found Katrina years ago...would have saved me tons of money. I just donated 2 boxes of hair products that I no longer use....donated to a womans shelter.
so all u curly girls out there..do yourself a favor and check out Curls Rock in Boca Raton. It will be the best money you have spent on yourself!!

- WOW ! What a great place. I have lived in Boca for only 2 years and I have been searching for someone who would understand the issues related to having curly hair. Not sure what the gal with the one star rating was talking about...but I almost canceled because of her comment. Soooooo glad I didn't !! I will be telling all of my friends and colleagues about Curls Rock. Not only did I get a great cut, but someone who educated me about what my hair needed to look its best. XOXOXO Katrina !

- the worst cut and color in my life. please be weary of reviews that you see about company, as i think they are all posted by them and their staff...they are too similar in style/name/etc. to be independent reviews. also, the owner of this salon has changed the name of her business and website a few times? hmmm...
after i got home and had a chance to wash out the crunchy product that was used, i finally took a hard look at what my hair looked like. it was so bad, that i had do go back after my initial haircut, because katrina didn't even take any hair off!!! (basically loaded me with product and blew dry)...the second cut was SO BAD, that i have now had to visit another salon to get a proper haircut. curls rock salon was a waste of my time and $200.
whatever this "curly girl" thing she has going on is a total sham...the products she sells are good, but her ability as a hairdresser is sadly very poor. don't get sucked into the hype...

- I have wavy/some Botticelli curls and lots of fine hair. My hair is generally between my chin and shoulders, and I tend to like short and sassy cuts with lots of volume. Katrina gave me exactly what I wanted, although I think I was more willing to go shorter than she was! She cut my hair dry, then after it was wet, and then again after she styled it. She was very laid back and didn't push any products. The woman who had an appointment before me left with a head of beautiful ringlets (probably 3b/3c), two women with very tight curls (4s) came in with gorgeous heads of hair, another with waves brought her friend with very thin hair wanting to bring out her curl to make an appointment, and a woman with very frizzy, small ringlets made an appointment right before I was taken. The atmosphere was nice and friendly. The cut was $75, but if you mention the coupon on her website you get 20% off your first visit. Since I consider my hair an important accessory I wear everyday, I am okay spending that much to get what I want. - I freely admit that I was completely nervous about my appointment. Let's face it, allowing someone new near our hair is never easy. From the moment I opened the door, the staff and customers at Curls Rock made feel totally at ease. It was a completely different experience. First of all, Katrina has curly hair, so she gets it. She had me sit down and she talked to me, to see where my head was at with my curls. Not only did she talk, she actually listened. As she cut, she explained what she was doing and WHY!!! No stylist has ever done that before. She really took her time explaining the different products to me and how to use. At the end, I can't looking in the mirror and saying "Is that really me?" I had a gorgeous head of sexy curls!!! She then helped me choose the right products, never once trying to get me to buy something I didn't need. After I was finished, the salon gave me a print out of exactly what to do at home so I wouldn't forget!!! I've never heard of anyone else doing that. As I learn what not to do and what to do, I'm sure my results will only get better and better. I would 100% recommend Curls Rock to anyone with curly hair!!! You won't regret it!!

- So I read a previous review on this website and just decided to give it a go... I am very happy with my decision and absolutely loved my experienced! The entire staff was knowledgable,nice and professional ((most of all)).. I felt very appreciated as a client and welcomed. I currently live in Miami and took the drive there wanting a hair cut, and Katrina was honest with me from the very beginning.. I did not need a hair cut and even if she decided to grant me my wishes she would be ripping me off. She continued to ask me how I felt about my hair and what made me think I needed a hair cut and so forth.. I told her I wasnt happy with the front of my hair.. It wasnt defining well like the back and then she told me how to solve that issue. Very competent in her field and an excellent stylist. She set my hair and I know it may sound cliche but I bought the Heaven in Hair Moisture Treatment that she used to hydrate my hair. It definitely works for my hair and it keeps it defined ALL day and usually I have a problem with the humidity here but Heaven In Hair from the Devachan line is everything in one for me. It provides great moisture, hold, and shine! I love love love it and my experience. I will definitely be returning and recommend it to others for sure :)

- First time I have ever gone to a salon that actually specializes in curly hair! Mercedes was my stylist and she did a fantastic job! I had Keratin treatment done last year and my ends were very fuzzy and my curls were uneven. She did a dry cut first to even out my curls, then had a No Poo cleanse and condition (with an amazing scalp massage). Styled and diffused and voila! My hair has not looked this curly in many many years. I'm happy I found this salon because I will definitely go back!

- OMG,I LOVED my experiance here. I am so happy with my curls now before i hated them . katrina did amazing cut then mercedes did my haircut my second visit and celina A stylist in training but like a pro
everyone had curly hair im seriously amazed THIS PLACE IS NOT A JOKE, GO TO CURLS ROCK TODAY!!!

- I just got home from having the BEST haircut and BEST color in my life. I have never been able to trust someone with my hair the way I did with Katrina. I must say I was a little nervous when she was cutting my hair dry. No one had EVER cut my hair that way. She obviously new what she was doing. This is the most EVEN my hair has ever been. Other stylists just did the same old same old, cutting it straight across while it was wet or trying to do layers when it was wet. When my hair would dry it would look lopsided. This is amazing, I don't even have one strand that looks out of place. Katrina is a miracle worker. Anushka is the best colorist there is. She knew EXACTLY what I wanted and her execution was seemless. She had three people in chairs and did not even bat an eye. She was a true professional and all three of us had color that we were amazed by. I will never go to another salon again!!!!!!!! My 6 year old was with me during the cut and color. She was perfect the entire time we were there (3 hours) but their assistant\receptionist was awesome with her. She had her drawing pictures and made her feel so welcome. Normally I would never suggest bringing a small child on such a long appointment, but my 6 year old is going on 20... I really had the best all around experience ever!!!!! Thank you all sooooooo much.

- I had a fantastic experience at Curls Rock salon. First of all, I have never walked into a salon where everyone has curly hair. AND everyone's hair looked fantastic! So that was awesome. I have been growing my hair out since moving to FL from another state (and away from the first stylist I'd ever had that knew how to cut curly hair), and it got so long I decided to donate it. Katrina chopped off 10 inches for me and then brought my curls back to life! I had almost forgotten how bouncy and light my hair could feel with a great haircut. And Jasmine (I think that's her name) gave me the best head massage I have ever had while she was conditioning my hair. I love my haircut, and the ladies there are friendly and professional. I will be back and will recommend it to all my curly-haired friends!

- I have always loved my curls but never knew how to take care of this thick, curly, frizzy head of mine. On the very rare occastion that I have seen a cute curly cut, I wondered why my hair couldn't look like that! Last saturday my teenage daughter & I went to see Katrina at Curls Rock. I LOVED the name. I really wish I had taken before and after pictures. It was amazing. Everyone was so nice. Everything was explained to me from the washing of the hair to the dryer to the snipping of the curls. FINALLY I WAS HOME!!! Everyone that worked there had curly hair. I felt like I was in the right place. I bought the products to keep my hair soft and my curls manageable. I will definately will be back. Even my daughter wants them to do her hair for the prom. Thank You so very very much Katrina & her staff, for a day I had been waiting for my entire life !!!

- Ever since I had chemo and my hair came in curly, I love my hair, and have been excited about not having to perm any more. But my old hairdresser still treated my hair as if it was straight, and it never came out right. A friend let me read her Curly Girl book, and try some Deva Curl shampoo, and I was hooked! But I still couldn't get a good hair cut. I looked online to find some Deva Curl products, and stumbled upon the Curls Rock Hair Studio in Boca Raton. The name intrigued me, and I called. They have only been open for 2 months, and in the Florida summer! But not to worry, Katrina did a wonderful job on my hair, and I will tell everyone I know about her! She listens, she explains everything... heck, the shampoo girl even showed me how to condition my hair! They sent me home with instructions on paper, and did not try to sell me any products or services that I didn't need! Curls Rock is not cheap, but Katrina & Co's service is worth every penny! I highly recommend this salon to anyone who wants to make the most of their curly hair!

- So happy to have found Katrina! I have been to the Deva Salon in NY and would say that Katrina is better than the stylist I had there. As soon as I left the salon someone told me they loved my hair! If you have curly hair she will be your best friend.

- Going for a haircut and style with Katrina was the best thing to happen to my
hair--ever. Take yourself now! She is amazing. I walked in with a messy frizzy head and left with the best cut I've ever had. Plus, she knows how to get rid of lots and lots of frizz. Bobby her assistant was also great. She washed really well and gave me little tips and tricks along the way to help with styling. They are masters and make living curly in South Florida a whole lot easier!

- I just came home from Curls Rock Hair Studio,I feel and look wonderful ,this was my first visit to this salon
I was so nervous when I got there ,I was welcomed with smiling professional manner and consulted about my hair and what I like to have, first Katrina cut my hair than Anushka highlighted with the most natural tones than they gave me a moisturizing treatment that my hair badly needed .When I was done I could not believe

- Katrina saved my hair! I had given up on ever getting rid of my frizz until Katrina showed me how to work with my hair type. I love my curls now! I finally got a haircut perfect for my hair type, in a style I loved. Anushka, the color specialist, colored my hair into the most beautiful auburn using all natural organic hair dye, and my hair has never been shinier and healthier. I would recommend this salon to EVERYONE.

- Just got back from Katrina's new salon... It was a great experience! She did a wonderful job on my hair, as did the colorist, Anushka. Everyone is really nice, and my hair looks better than it has in a really long time. Highly recommended! We are lucky to have her in South Florida!

- Katrina is fabulous!!! You will love having her cut your hair, and the way your curls will bounce once she has cut it!!! I constantly am getting compliments on my hair now since she started cutting it!!! She really is a Master stylist, who knows how curly hair works. She spends all the time you need to make sure you are working with your curls correctly, know how to use the products, and you feel confident to do it on your own!!
If you have curly hair - go to Katrina for your style!!! You won't regret it!!!

- Katrina is absolutely extraordinary as a curly hairstylist!!! We have a gem in Boca Raton, Florida!!! My hair has never looked better, and I get compliments constantly!!! Katrina spends the time to make sure you know how to use the products correctly. I have total faith in how she cuts my hair and she is wonderful to be with as well!! - Finally!!!! I had my hair cut yesterday with Katrina who is actually a Devachan instructor. Loving my hair right now. Second day hair looks amazing. She really knows what she's doing. She took her time listening and offering advise. And really gave me a beautiful cut I know will look good growing out. I had the Brazilian Hair Treatment done a few years ago and my hair needed some serious fixing. Thank you, Katrina!

- Amazing! I was so lucky to stumble upon her. She really spent time talking with me about my hair and how it should be cut and treated. She then gave me a great cut and my hair looks fantastic and healthy. Even my husband says it looks great.

Just moved from NYC and was sooo scared to change stylist. I'm extremely picky, sensitive and only want the best of the best when it come to my hard to manage frizzy curly hair. - I was so scared to go to someone new. I found Devachaun salon in NYC, and hated to move to Florida, but they re- assured me Katrina was the best here, coming from Devachaun herself.
