  I went to this salon based on other reviews on this site, and while I was initially pleased, upon subsequent visits I became disenchanted. Richard did not want to style my hair as I asked and instead pushed outlandish experimental styles I wasn't interested in, as well as pushing expensive styling products. He also spent more time talking to his assistant than paying attention to cutting my hair. When I complimented his work, he took that to mean he didn't need to do anything else and didn't finish blow drying and styling my hair. Considering how expensive the rates are, that's not acceptable. His assistant massaged my head so hard that my scalp was sore for days. I will not be going back.

  I went to Richard based on the advice of a friend of mine whose curly hair he did. I am in love with his work! I feel like I finally enjoy having curly hair, and won't fight to make it straight anymore. Richard gave me an awesome cut and taught me how to style it so it didn't become a frizzy mop. I'm surprised at the negative comment about him trying to aggressively sell products. I didn't feel that way at all. He showed me the products he used, didn't pressure me, but I bought some and really like them. I needed some guidance on what products were proper for my hair. He was just very friendly about it. I'd recommend Richard and Cameo to anyone!!! Cathie

  I went to this salon because of the recommendation on this website. After my experience there I will never go back to Cameo Salon again. The cut he gave me was terrible. This doesn't surprise me since he spent most of my chair time talking to his assistant trying to figure out how to juggle his schedule to squeeze in another client. (Never mind the one sitting in you chair now!) Not only was the cut terrible, the entire time I was there four different employees badgered me with their high pressure sales tactics on hair products. It didn't matter that I said I wasn't interested. They just kept hounding me. They even called me a week later at home to see if I changed my mind! They are more concerned with high volume sales than customer satisfaction. Don't go there!
