- I've been a client of Becca's for almost five years. She has always given me excellent haircuts. She humors my styling whims and I leave looking fabulous. Also, she's very nice and pleasant to talk with while working her magic. My curls are each clipped individually, she pays very careful attention to my overall silhouette. The Hive Salon itself has fantastic ambience. Their products, which are as close to all-natural as you can get, smell fabulous and leave my hair looking beautiful. The cuts are very reasonably priced and high quality. I highly recommend scheduling an appointment with Becca (or Jen) as they're both talented.

- Jen Cortez has very poor customer service skills. Jen is very accusatory and does not take responsibility. She is lacking in many areas such as listening, showing empathy, using offensive terminology, and more. For more information, Google CitySearch and read the review there. I would not support her business due to her lack of customer service skills. In addition to her poor customer service skills, she did not seek to save our business relationship. I do not recommend salons who give poor customer service. There are so many other salons to choose from.

- I recently went to The Hive Salon for the first time. For me it was a huge risk as I have had far too many bad haircuts in my 40 years by people who claimed to be great with curly hair. For the first time I found a stylist who really did know curly hair! Jen was thorough, walked me through the process and treated my hair individually, and not like anyone elses. Additionally, since I am finally going back to wearing my hair curly on a full time basis she showed me how to add product, dry and what not to do as well. I plan to go back.

- Wonderful! This is the first time I have ever had my hair cut by someone who truly understands curly hair. Jen allowed ample time for me to answer any questions that I had. Upon arrival she asked about the goals I have for my hair, and my concerns. She looked at my hair prior to cutting it to check my curls, texture, condition. She then cut my hair, dry, one curl at a time. This is the most unique hair cut I have ever had. She explained everything she did. She washed it after the cut and walked me through how to apply product and drying techniques for my hair.
I could not be happier and I plan to go back. I have had many people tell me they can cut curly hair and I have ended up with terrible hair cuts. Not this time. She clearly stands out and absolutely understands curly hair...cutting, styling, drying, product.. She rocks.

- This is by far the best salon I've ever been to. I always thought as long as you were using a salon brand shampoo/conditioner and products, your hair would be in the best possible shape it could be in. I was mistaken. The products at The Hive are natural products that will not damage your hair.
I have gotten so many compliments on my hair every time I leave their salon. The color is perfect, the styling is perfect and the products are amazing! My hair looks and feels soo much better than it did before. I really don't think you could find a better salon. Becca is an amazing stylist who listens to exactly what you want and makes sure you are 100% happy when you leave. She even shows me styling techniques so I can get the curls and waves she gives me in the salon at home.
I won't trust anyone else to touch my hair!
