Tiffany is the best. What I appreciated about her the most was the time she took to actually "talk" to me about my hair care regimen, the products I was using, what I liked about them and what products I didn't like and why. All this before she even touched my hair. I didn't need a major cut, just a few snips here and there, but the recommendations she gave me on how to care for my hair.... well, let's just say, I think I heard angels sing.

Tiffany is simply fabulous. After losing a lot of length and density due to an illness and some strong meds, I had it cut by another stylist who had high reviews on NC. However, she completely butchered my hair! I had never felt so unattractive. Then 6 months later I decided to make the 2 hour drive to see Tifanny in her new salon in Gulfport. OMG why didn't I do that sooner? She gave me the BEST haircut, and made sure I left the salon pleased. She brought my confidence back, and I am very grateful for that. It looks so nice! Even my haircut at Devachan in NY when I had longer hair cannot compete with the one I got from Tiffany. She is the best. PS: I am biracial black/white, 3c with medium/fine hair, hair barely touching my shoulders in the back.

Besides giving both me and my oldest daughter the best haircuts we've ever had, Tiffany also shares much information about how to take care of our hair, specific to each of our hair types (I'm coarse, wavy, low porosity, daughter is fine haired, curly, swimmer so hair is more damaged). She does not push salon products but gives us some suggestions on drugstore products that might suit each of us. We've had two haircuts with her, they grow out wonderfully, I can get almost a year between visits without it looking raggedy or anything. Very highly recommended. We drive to her from Tampa, about 20 miles, which doesn't sound like a lot, but there are probably a thousand stylists between us and her and I will happily drive by them all to get to her salon.

Tiffany has been cutting my hair for almost two years now and I am SOO glad I found her-she has basically saved my hair from everything myself and other stylists had put it through in the past. She is the first person I have had work with my hair who really understands how curly hair is designed and how to best care for it and cut it. She always is able to see exactly what it needs and is not intimidated by my hair which is a huge relief and change from most of my prior salon experiences. She always does a fantastic job and leaves my hair looking great! Her superb techniques and advice have given me the confidence to be able to take care of my hair properly and to really be proud of it! I wouldn't trust anyone else with my unique head of hair and I would definitely recommend her to any curly girl who wants to revive and rejuvenate their hair-without having to alter its innate beauty. Thank you so much Tiffany!! :-)

Like most women, I had a string of horror stories when it came to my super curly hair. While other people were afraid to go to the dentist, I was afraid to get my hair cut. After moving to the St. Pete area, I was craving a hair change. I found Tiffany through other reviews from women who swore that she was the, "curl guru." I figured, "she cant do any worse than what I have had done to my hair before." Thankfully, Tiffany was sweet, informative, and patient. She gave my hair new life and empowered me to live a curly life. Now, I love my hair and so does my husband! I have never felt more beautiful or happy with my hair. Tiffany has a customer for life :)

My daughter and I decided to make a fun mom/daughter outing by getting our hair done by a curly hair specialist. We have had so many bad experiences that our expectations were low. After Tiffany spent hours educating us, cutting our hair, coloring one of ours(Hummm!) and styling it we left. We screamed when we got in the car. We could not believe how fantastic both of our heads looked. Our curls had NEVER even come close to looking this good. We were sure we could not replicate it. But guess what...we have. And it is infinitely easier than all of the techniques and products we have used in the past. And let me just warn you...Tiffany will not push expensive, exclusive products on you. She shows you product from any store, that are generally the most economical ones on the shelf!!! Throw away your unhealthy, damaging products. As you incorporate Tiffany's advice into your life your hair just gets healthier with more beautiful curls...and NO FRIZZ!!!! Tiffany is an artist and magician. She has very curly hair so she knows!! She is motivated to save all of us curly heads! She has a Master's degree in Business but she stopped being in the corporate world because she wanted to honor the artist within her. Thank goodness she made the switch. I truly cannot recommend her enough. My daughter had decided to get dreadlocks because she no longer wanted to deal with her hair. She just left for college and for the first time she loves her hair. Really, you must RUN to Tiffany as fast as you can. She is a curly-haired genius!!!

I thought I was just going to get a decent hair cut … but it turned out to be soo much more. It’s been a few weeks since I was at the salon, but I wanted to make sure this was “for real” and that I could achieve the same results as Tiffany did. And, because I am writing this review, I was able to do it over and over again all by myself. As I get used to the routine, I am more amazed (and start to experiment more). I find myself looking at my reflection just to get a glimpse of my beautiful curls. It wasn’t just about the haircut but the steps to take to style the type curls that I have, with no big “push” on any particular product, just what would work for me. With the step-by-step instructions that I was able to take home -- that I have read more than once – it has made it easy to get my own routine to make my curls the best they can be.. So many compliments: “Are those your natural curls?” “Wow, what did you do different?” No frizz in this humidity in Florida, it’s just amazing… Thanks, Tiffany!! Now I look forward to getting my hair cut instead of dreading it!! See you in few months :-) Hillary, Tampa, Florida

Today is the first day of my beautiful hair forever! Ok ladies and gents, I do not fare well with women "stylist" at all. Actually, I have NEVER allowed a woman to "cut" my hair. I am one of the pickiest, hair-paranoid, high strung ladies I know - with incredibly curly hair! I have read Tiffany's reviews for a whole year before I swallowed my fear and scheduled an appointment. Upon arrival, I was greeted by the warmest, most welcoming lady who was busy with another client. She made me feel right at home and immediately put my curl weary to ease. I was amazed at how she was magically transforming the woman's hair before me, and seriously had doubt she could do the same for me. Tiffany took the time to hear in my own words how I felt about my hair, and what my hopes and expectations were. This is where her moniker "Curl Whisperer" comes in... She wasn't just listening; she was silently telling my hair all the great things she was going to do! After a 2 + hour appointment, I have never been so pampered, pleased and educated on my own hair! I now know what works, how to work it and how to make my hair look professionally done every time. Tiffany is thorough and no question is too much. She truly understands curly hair and welcomes "problem hair"! I honestly did not think she could transform my curls - and she did! Once she was finished turning my rusty locks into lavish life, I cried. Ask her... she'll tell you! I am writing this review with confidence. You will not be disappointed what so ever with Tiffany; her prices, product guidance, tips, and your overall experience. You will feel pretty and light on your feet! Thank you Tiffany and thank you to everyone who has posted a review... Your comments are the reason I chose Tiffany! I'm forever grateful!

Could it be I NEVER reviewed Tiffany here before now??!?! So sorry Tiffany! In December I went to Florida for a family vacation and decided to drive 2 1/2 hours from where we were staying in order to get a haircut from her. I'm a stylist myself, and it was fun talking to her about curly hair as I don't in any way shape or form consider myself an expert (we just just don't learn a lot about it in hair school). What I did learn was that I knew more than I thought! We spent over an hour together, first Tiffany cut my hair dry (I'm a wavy and this was my first experience with a dry cut) and then she styled me out using some of the same products I use and some different ones. LOVED the cut, LOVED the experience, and I had a blast with her! Thanks (and sorry for the delay, what was I thinking?!?) again Tiffany! :D Rymorg2 in KY

I just got my hair cut by Tiffany. This is the 4th time I have gotten the Deva curly cut from her. I am just in love!! She put tons of layers in my hair this time around, and my hair looks so shiny, bouncy, full of life, voluminous, with beautifully defined curls that are not in the least bit frizzy. This woman knows hair, more than any other stylist I have ever gotten my haircut from. She is knowledgeable, is a curly hair expert, and is extremely interesting and fun to talk to while trimming your tresses. The most awesome thing about her, in addition to her expertise and amazing scissor wielding ability, is that she never ever tries to push or sell products to anyone. She firmly believes in the Deva products she offers for sale at her salon, but completely understands that they may not be feasible to buy for everyone's budget. She offers economical alternatives for expensive gels and shampoos, based on the research she keeps up with and I get most of my products from Wal-Mart based on her suggestions, and they work great. I just love this woman! I am so thankful that us curly haired gals in the Tampa Bay area have Tiffany to help us maintain our luxurious glossy manes, especially in the Florida heat and humidity. And summer is only a few months away... Thank you Tiffany. You are indeed the "Curl Whisperer," you are amazing!!

This was, simply, the best haircut I've ever had in my life. Tiffany is immediately engaging and you know that you are in capable (maybe even magic) hands. I hadn't been in a salon since October, 2001. That's 8 1/2 years. That's how afraid of regular haircuts I had become. Now I'm already thinking about what else I'll do in St. Petersburg the next time I go to Tiffany for a haircut. She's less than an hour drive and I consider myself blessed. I read through many of the other reviews and I'm nodding in agreement with all the positive comments. She's super knowledgeable and wants you to be, too. My previous experiences with leaving salons involved trying to hold back tears and feeling really depressed about the way I looked, and the way my hair was. After my appointment with Tiffany I was all smiles and actually didn't avoid looking in the mirror. I am so grateful.

    Review:
Sadly, it's taken me awhile to get this review here. I had my hair cut by the curl master (Tiffany) on 10/24, and it was a fabulous experience. A little bit about me: I live in NY, and went to visit my parents who live near Sarasota, and was able to schedule an appointment with Tiffany. I've been CG for almost 2 years now, and up until the point of my haircut, I was using shampoo bars + ACV rinse + giovanni smooth as silk conditioner. So, we had no problem finding her salon, and I got there, and walked in, and one of the other stylists saw me looking around and said "Don't worry, Tiffany is here", I was wondering how she knew then I realized I had curly hair, so that meant I was there to see Tiffany. Tiffany came out and then sat me down and asked what I wanted out of the haircut, what I liked about my hair, what I didn't, that sort of thing; it was really great. I had no qualms really about my hair, and yet she managed to make it better even still. She did the dry cut, asking me about my regimen, and I told her I was using soap bars, which she recommended that I not use anymore (and I stopped). The biggest thing for me that I got out of this haircut was when she told me my hair texture. I was almost positive I had fine texture, and I was loading on the protein, but it turns out, I have MEDIUM texture, and normal porosity. She had me lay off the protein, and since then, I've been using giovanni triple treat shampoo, and a protein free conditioner (suave or the giovanni 50:50, or the gvp conditioning balm) and my hair has been super happy. My hair had a shelf she said, where the layers kind of stopped. She stepped down my layers, and it's much more curlier overall, all around. I absolutely love it. She is so incredible, and knowledgeable. She answered all my questions and more, and taught me how to clip. I highly recommend her to anyone who has the opportunity to get a cut by her. Especially, if you want to learn more about your hair.

I actually did not go to the salon. I was very fortunate to have a style and cut by Tiffany as part of the Roadshow (California) in the Fall of 2009. I have never in all my 43 years been so happy with a stylist, cut, and style. My hair has never looked better and I am absolutely loving it. She took the time to find out what I wanted, the little quirks in my hair, what was my past experience and then actually talked me through the cut and I could ask questions while she was doing it. Afterwords, she did a style and showed me how to use clips to great effect. In amongst all this, of course, she was educating me on my hair and assisting me with questions. I would never have thought to find any stylist so outstanding. To be honest if I don't have another opportunity next year to have a cut here in CA with some sort of Roadshow, I honestly think I will be buying a ticket to Florida to get my haircut. I cannot believe I said that but folks she is THAT GOOD. I have no reservation at all in recommending if you are remotely close to her salon or if she does any roadshow coming your way, that you are the first in line for an appointment. It does not get any better than this. Her website and the e-book are also phenomenal. Overall clearly someone who cares and that makes her even more special.

    Review:
Tiffany is awesome! First, about me – I’ve been off the sulfates and silicones for about a week now. My hair is wavy with medium texture, not porous. It’s long enough for short ponytails and up-dos; I want it to grow just a bit longer, but not much. I wear bangs. In the past I have been flat ironing, adding highlights and coloring roots to hide grays. I’ve always struggled with frizz and with the feeling that my hair was unruly and way too big! The first thing she did was listen to my hair concerns – what do I like about my hair? What do I dislike? What was I looking for in a cut? She listened carefully, made suggestions, and gave me just what I wanted. During our time together she took the time to explain the finer points of going CG in detail, most of which I knew from lurking on naturallycurly.com's forums and other links. She did not PUSH any particular BRAND of product. The cut is great – she took very little and trimmed strategically to help shape my shoulder-length hair to avoid the dreaded “triangle” / Roseanne Rosanna Danna look. My hair looks less bulky and smoother. The most helpful take-aways for me as a newbie - -Her analysis of my hair: medium texture, not porous (with the possible exception of some highlighted areas). Having that information will help as I try different finishing products and consider proteins vs. emollients. With medium texture hair I am free to go in either direction; I’ll be experimenting. -Demonstrating tips/tricks I can do at home, such as hair clips to for a bit of lift at the crown. -Validating (and adding to) my understanding of the things that I have learned from CG-friendly sites. -Gain in confidence – I left her shop feeling wavy and pretty…and I know I can do this at home! I highly recommend Tiffany! And she is really, really nice.

I drove two hours to see Tiffany based on the reviews here. It was worth the drive and then some. This is, hands down, the best cut I have ever had in my entire life. I came to her not knowing what I wanted and left with exactly the perfect cut! She is positively amazing. I've never met anyone who even comes close to having the same amount of skill that she has cutting curly hair. Today I have no product in my hair at all and it's still just perfect. The shape, the cut is exactly what I've always wanted but didn't know how to describe to anyone. She knew exactly what to do and how to do it. I would recommend her to anyone who has curly hair and has lost faith in the ability of hairdressers. She is phenomenal. She is warm and friendly, and her knowledge of curly hair surpasses anyone I've ever met in all my 38 years. She is the absolute best stylist I have ever seen in my life and I mean that will all of my heart. After this, my first experience, I will continue to drive the two hours to have only her cut my hair from now on. Letting anyone else do it after this would just be an exercise of futility. Even if you have to fly in from a different state to see her, it would be worth the time, effort and cost. She is just that good! I cannot say enough positive things to accurately convey my feelings about her skills. You will not be disappointed!

I have been a proud curly girl all of my life but making an appointment with Tiffany has been the best thing to ever happen to my hair. She is worth her weight in gold. She not only cuts your hair beautifully but she empowers you with knowledge. I noticed the difference in my curl pattern DURING the hair cut. She really finesses them and brings the spirals out. It's been six days and I barely recognize my curls. I would unequivocally recommend Tiffany!

I was due to get my haircut about the same time I was going to visit my father in the Tampa Bay area, and suddenly realized I had the opportunity to have it cut by "The Curl Whisperer," a.k.a. Struttswife. I've learned so much from her posts on CurlTalk, and knew from prior reviews that I could expect to learn a lot about my hair, and how to work with it, that I knew I didn't want to pass on that opportunity. The cut is the best I've ever had. It doesn't compare, though, with the amazing amount of education that came with it. It was almost an information overload, though I'm not new to CG. I learned a tremendous amount that is helping me to simplify and fine tune my hair care, and product selection, along with the reasoning behind those selections, which will also help me in future as product availability changes. My only regret? That I live too far away (in northern New York State) for Tiffany to be my regular stylist.

At age 50 plus I had accumulated a lot of fear of hair stylists because no one could cut my hair in a way that looked right or felt right. Tiffany is the expert when it comes to curly hair. She taught me a new way to take care of my hair. She applied products and cut my hair in a way so different from anything I had before, but so right for my hair. And she did it without a perm or curling iron. I love my hair now. I have had so many compliments and my friends say I look 10 years younger. I love the way it always looks great and it now has more versatile styling than ever before. No more ponytails, braids and buns for me. I feel like Tiffany set my hair and me free. Thank you Tiffany.

She is very knowledgeable, friendly, and thorough, and very passionate about helping us curly girls live frizz free lives. From someone who can relate in almost every way to the women mentioned in the Curly Girl book, I am so thankful that I have found someone who cuts my hair in a way that enables me to embrace my God given curls. And...I know that even if I have a bad hair day, it has nothing to do with my cut! I rarely write reviews but I have to now. I had my first curly cut last week with Tiffany. For starters, I had given up hope of having healthy, frizz-free hair. After Tiffany finished, I could not believe it was my hair. Beautiful, healthy, loose spiral curls with no frizz. I am still amazed. As for Tiffany, she is absolutely fantastic. She is extremely informative and provides a wonderful crash course on curly hair. She really took her time on the dry cut, I cannot believe the difference it made. She spent two and a half hours on my hair and educating me on how to care for it. It was such a wonderful experience, I cannot wait to go back. On a personal level, Tiffany put me right at ease immediately. She is intelligent, humorous, and really understands the frustrations of wavy and/or curly hair. I am so glad that I scheduled an appointment based on the reviews here. I am still in awe at what Tiffany did for my hair. And, I am able to maintain it. The BEST hair cut ever, plus so much more. Thank you, Tiffany!

Tiffany Anderson is wonderful! She gave me the BEST haircut I've ever had in my entire life. She did a dry cut, taking the time to analyze and then snip each and every individual curl. Now before I met her my hair was thin and the ends were always straggly. She did the most amazing thing: she made my hair look THICKER and my hair has absolutely no knots or tangles, even a month later! It feels like I received a whole new head of hair! I love my hair now and used to hate it! For the first haircut she gives, it is very unique. Like the last reviewer stated, she spends at least 2-3 hours with you, teaching you everything you need to know about curly hair and how to work with your own hair to make it look amazing. I learned techniques that work so well with my hair. She takes her time with you and you will feel so comfortable with her. She is such a warm friendly caring person. I highly recommend her and she is now my forever stylist! I will NEVER go anywhere else again! PS I'm thrilled at the prospect of FINALLY growing my hair longer. I know now that it will be possible with Tiffany, as the ends are so healthy and knot-free that my hair already is looking longer and healthier than ever. I look forward to what it will look like a year from now!

Wow - what can I say about Tiffany? I got my hair cut from her two weeks ago, and I am just stunned. I wanted to look nice for a new job that I was about to start, and I had seen the reviews for her on the site, but wanted to wait until I had secured employment before going. Tiffany is absolutely amazing! I can’t sing her praises enough. She is so kind, thoughtful, caring, easy to talk to, empathic, and knows how to cut curly hair like no one else I have ever met. You know when you talk about how someone “just gets it?” Tiffany - just gets it! I didn’t have to tell her what to do, she worked her magic on me, and the entire time we just talked, and had a great conversation like two old buddies who had known eachother for years! She cut my hair, styled, it, and explained what I needed to do in order to hydrate my hair and get it looking beautiful. She was so patient and understanding and understood all my frustrations that I have had in dealing with my hair – esp. in the Florida humidity! She spent THREE (3) hours with me on a Saturday afternoon, and charged me an extremely reasonable rate – I have NEVER had anyone ever spend that much time with me on a haircut. I also called her twice on the phone afterwards, to ask her followup questions – which I have NEVER been able to do with another stylist. She was so pleasant and friendly when talking on the phone. I didn’t feel like I was bothering or annoying her at all. I am officially a devotee of Tiffany’s house of curling magic! If I say so myself – my hair is looking absolutely fabulous, and I feel like a movie star. I constantly get compliments at my new job about my hair, and for the very first time in my life, I feel confident with my hair and in wearing it curly. I am so appreciative and grateful to Tiffany, she is amazing. I can’t stress to other curly girls out there – let Tiffany cut your hair! All the reviews on this site were dead on, and I am grateful to her. Drive two hours to get a haircut? That sounds like something a crazy woman would do! So, call me crazy but not only did I do it, I’ll do it again! What can I say about a stylist who makes you feel so welcome and so lucky to be curly? As soon as I saw her lovely, shiny locks, I was confident I was in good hands. She’s “one of us”  When I met the rest of the staff, I felt like I was spending the afternoon hanging out with friends. Tiffany cut my hair using the Deva method, gently and methodically trimming each curl while my hair was in the dry state. She explains everything as she works, even taking the time to teach ME how to trim the front portion around my face should I need a bit of a maintenance trim later. We chatted about hair products, not just Deva products. While she uses Deva products in the salon, she will NOT push Deva on the customer and will in fact, talk to you about drugstore product options. I was already very familiar with curly girl dogma but I wish I’d met her years ago when I was first starting out. Reading books and chatting online is no substitute for the real-life, hands-on training you’ll get from Tiffany. I’d never really gotten the hang of clipping until Tiffany showed me. If you think you know it all, you may surprised at what you’ve overlooked or have been doing improperly. So here’s Tiffany’s method: Cut, TEACH. Cleanse, TEACH Style, TEACH Clip, TEACH Diffuse, TEACH Shake, TEACH Lift, Shape, Finish, TEACH So I drove 2 hours, spent just over 2 hours at the salon and drove 2 ½ hours home. Orlando traffic, grrrr! It was absolutely worth it, a great day, and I feel more happy and confident that my curly hair ROCKS. Incidentally, she also doesn’t overbook or try to do two/three clients at once. Your appt is yours alone and she won’t be flitting around taking care of others during your appointment time. YOU will get her undivided, friendly attention. I cannot say enough about how fulfilling it is to spend part of an afternoon with a stylist who makes you feel more like a curly girlfriend than a client. I have found The Curl Whisperer and she is in St Pete!

What to say about Tiffany that hasn't been said time and again by her other clients? It's difficult because she REALLY IS that good, and once you've spent some time with her and she cuts your hair, you want to make sure anyone reading truly understand what a special stylist Tiffany is. When I decided to get my first curly cut, I began reading the reviews for my state, and chatted with other board members who live nearby about stylists and salons. While there are probably a dozen curl specialists that would have been a significantly shorter trip for me, I never even considered them due to Tiffany's reputation of being the Best. Before setting my appointment with Tiffany, and making the 9 (yes, NINE!) hour round trip drive to St Pete, we had a phone consultation. As any curly girl knows, it's a bit of a scary proposition to try a new stylist. Tiffany made me feel so comfortable, did such a good job of foreseeing issues I *might* run into, educating me about my hair type as we went along, offering great tips. She listened to me, and to what *I* was looking for with my hair. It was obvious to me that she cares about each and every one of her clients, and truly loves what she does. I couldn't have asked for a better experience, and I plan to continue making the trip for Tiffany to care for my hair. If you're ever in the state of Florida, it would be well worth your time to set up an appointment with her- you'll be so glad you did!
