    Everytime I get my haircut from Carmen, I love it! She has taught me how to do my hair on my own for the first time in my life. I never knew what to do with my curly hair or met anyone else who could teach me until I met her. I never liked my hair until now well I almost like it now depending on the weather of course. She also cuts all three of my daughters hair too! She has introduced me to a great hair gel as well that works very nicely. Because of her knowledge and training with curly hair, I can now feel confident with my hair for the first time ever!!! Catie from Catonsville, Md.

    Carmen is the absolute best at what she does! Earlier this year she introduced me to Deva hair care products especially for curly hair and my hair is alot healthier and I finally have beautiful loose curls that I constantly get compliments on. Thanks a million for being a good friend, stylist, and educator to me!! :) DeShawnda

    Review:
    Since I began working out this year I have not gone to a stylist on a regular basis because I didn’t want to sweat out my hair after paying to get it styled. With no relaxer since April, I began flat ironing my hair every other day which was time consuming, frustrating, and damaging. I stumbled upon Carmen at an event. I explained to her that I had been relaxing my hair since the age of 14 and I could not describe my natural texture to her. I had never heard of Deva Curl products before Carmen explained the system to me. She explained each product and step as she styled my hair. I was amazed at the body and curls she achieved from finger styling. I received tons of compliments when I returned to work the next day. I love the products because they give me the flexibility to be curly or straight. Thanks to Carmen’s talent...I’m now a curly girl

    I am so happy to have found Carmen and Velvet Waves! I have been looking for someone in my area who is Deva trained and has curly consciousness. Carmen has it all. my daughter and granddaughter like her too; so it is a family affair!
