  I have coarse naturally curly hair. It was a mess. I have had several bad haircuts in the last couple of years. I read about Joni on this website and decided to give her a try. It was the best thing I have ever done. My hair is so manageable now. Before I wore it in a pony tail most of the time and now I have my curls back again. Joni not only gave me a great hair cut but also gave me tips on how to manage my hair. Joni is the greatest!

  Joni is one of the best stylist for naturally wavy/curly hair. My hair & cut was a disaster when I came to see her. She was able to give me pointers on conditioning my dry hair and gave me one of the best hair cut/style ever. She listens to you and makes great suggestions so you'll look your best. I highly recommend her. You won't be disappointed. Plus you won't believe how long the hair cut/style lasts.

  Can't say enough about Joni. Listens to what you want, offers ideas and is very creative. She sports her own curls, too. If your coming to Athens look her up, no matter if your hair is curly or straight. Joni is alot of fun and Kaleidoscope is a very enjoyable experience.

  Not to belabor the point, but Joni @ Kaleidoscope is the bomb! I have "white" moderately curly/wavy hair but my daughter has "mixed" hair with 3 different levels of curl. I have never had such a good time in a salon. Not only did Joni ask the pertinent questions, she listened to the answers. She took into consideration mine and my daughters lifestyles and face shapes and gave us great cuts/styles. My appt was last Sat and today is Friday and I have yet to wash my hair. The conditioner she recommended has kept my hair frizz free and because it's so light, my hair hasn't attracted all the pollution that my normal "heavier" conditioner did requiring a twice weekly wash. I would recommend Joni to eveyone (and have in my office!) no matter what kind of hair you have. The salon was relaxed and my daughter and I had a great time. If you love (or would LIKE to love your hair)GO!!

  Being new to Athens and having had the same stylist for all my life I was nervous to find a new place in Athens. After looking over reviews online I decided to choose Kaleidoscope. As soon as I walked in I knew I was in the right place. Everyone made me feel so welcome and relaxed, which was exactly what I was looking for. Since I was new Joni immediately sat me down and we talked about my hair. I soon realized that all the stylists really loved their clients and just wanted them to leave the salon looking perfect. Every time I go to get my hair cut I am always entertained by the entire staff and leave with the perfect cut for such a great price. I would recommend everyone to this salon and if you have curly or wavy hair definitely ask for Joni, she is a miracle worker. My hair has never looked this good and healthy!

  I have always had very long, frizzy, unmanagable hair. The first time I went to Joni, I told her to just cut it. Do what you want with it. That was the day we both realized I had the curliest hair!!!! I have only had one other person cut my hair since, that was about 5 or 6 years ago. Everytime I go to her I tell her "Work your magic" and I walk out feeling like a new, refreshed woman. All of the stylist at the salon make you feel at home and very comfortable. I would recommend Joni and the salon to anyone!!

  I LOVE Joni! She's a fellow curly/wavy head and is probably one of the top 2 stylists I've ever encountered. When you have your first hair appointment with her she takes notes on your hair type, products you use, how you wear your hair- and she actually listens. I have 3b curls and I trust her implicitly. She's hilarious, down to Earth, and keeps me rolling while she's cutting! If you're in Athens- check out Joni!

  I have grown to love Joni at Kaleidoscope Salon. She always has crazy ideas for styles that make me feel like I'm constantly reinventing who I am. I have looked at old pics pre-Joni. And it wasn't pretty. My hair used to be completely unmanageable. Now I look forward to actually going to the salon. I'm not sitting on pins and needles worried about how much length has been taken off or not. Joni is reasonably priced. I have told her she's under priced for what she does.Lol my whole family goes to her now. As long as she's cutting hair I will be her client. Everyone at the salon is fun to be around. Great atmosphere.

  As a newcomer to Athens, I was in search of a great stylist for my curly hair. The review for Joni at Kaleidoscope was encouraging. After being a client at Fiddleheads in DC (Beth is amazing!), I was skeptical of anyone else. But, Joni was a pleasant surprise. She is very talented and well worth a try. For a no-fuss hair style that looks amazing, Joni is the perfect stylist!

  I have tried many stylists on this site in Athens and Atlanta, and Joni is the best! She took time to get to know my hair and what I wanted done. She also took into consideration my hair's curl and texture as well and my face shape and profile when creating my cut. She respected my wishes while still being creative and giving me something beautiful and different from my old style (which is hard to find in a stylist). She also let me style my hair as I would at home before I left the salon to make sure that I was totally satisifed. That has never happened to me before and it is something I have always wished I could do. Not only is Joni talented, but she is very easy to spend a couple of hours with. She made me feel very comfortable and right at home. Her pricing is also very reasonable. You should give her a try ... if you do, tell her Ann sent you!
