Nicole is awesome!! She spends time finding out how you already care for your hair. She explains how to take care of your hair so you have less frizz and more curl. I have a beautiful hair cut now. I love it. I am so excited I found Nicole. Thank you Nicole!!

I have wavy/frizzy hair, and was just so frustrated with it. I bought the Curly Girl Book several years ago, but just wasn't getting very good results with the routine on my own. I have tried so many products and hairdressers, and out of desperation, I decided to try a DevaCurl Stylist as a last ditch effort before I cut my right below the shoulder length hair really short.
I found Nicole on this site and decided to give her a try. I am so glad I did!! She understood every problem I was dealing with concerning frizzy, out of control hair, and gave me the best dry haircut (well, actually the only dry hair cut,) I have ever had! No big chunks missing and no walking out of the salon with your hair looking worse than when u came in! She advised me on the right products to use and how to use them, and I love all the Deva Curl products. My hair was not frizzy, and the curl was more defined than I have ever seen it. Also, she gave me great advice and tips for 2nd and 3rd day hair. Now I only have to low poo/conditon it every third day, and I couldn't be happier!!! I highly recommend her, thank you Nicole!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I just had my 9 year old daughter's hair done and we are thrilled! FInally someone who understands her hair and can help me care for it better. Being a straight haired mom, I had no idea how to deal with my daughters curls. In addition, her hair is super curly and spirally underneath a top layer of straight. Nicole actually showed us how to coax the curls out of the top layers with a minimum of effort, important when you are dealing with a 9 year old tomboy! She also gave her a cut that makes it easier to make her hair look great. My daughter is happy and so am I. She is wonderful!!!!!

I had been working with another stylist at this salon and heard that Nicole would meet with curly-haired clients free of charge for an initial, brief consultation on their hair. I made an appointment with her and in that brief time, she showed me how great my hair could look, how much easier it was to let it be what it wants to be ---curly--- and how to care for it so it will always look and feel great. What I especially appreciate about Nicole is that she is a real student of hair: she is Deva-trained and practices Deva principles. At the same time, if she knows that a different product or approach is best for the unique qualities of a client's hair, she'll recommend it without reservation. She respects her clients' budgets and her clients' time. She took me from being a person with a lifelong dislike of my hair to someone who loves what I have and now, wouldn't trade it if I could. I've been a proud and satisfied client for several years now so stop hating and fighting with your curly hair today!

I found Nicole on this web site. After calling many stylists from Wichita east, I knew she was the person I wanted to cut and style my hair. It is a 225 mile round trip, if I don't get lost, to Salon Bliss. I washed my farm truck, on the day of my appointment got up early, took care of the livestock, and went to Kansas City.
Nicole is just as the other review say, a curly girl herself, very skillful and talented, and a good teacher. Not knowing what products to buy I had since January relied on a no-poo regimen, a good department store conditioner, and EVOO. Nicole recommended one product and I asked for a second.
I am not a young woman and have much less hair than even ten years ago. Still, having my curly hair go free and be as beautiful as possible is very important to me . With Nicole I was able to relax knowing that she would give me the best cut and teach me how to style my hair. Since I live so far away I will not see her again for a few months and certainly will not trust my hair to anyone else.
Thank you, Nicole.

After going to a good, Deva trained stylist in a dirty salon in the Kansas City area, I began searching for another Deva trained stylist in a cleaner salon in a safer part of town and my search lead me to Nicole.
Nicole is a seasoned stylist, a curly girl herself and has had extensive Deva training.
She spent a good deal of time with me discussing products and techniques that I use and touching and looking at my hair. We talked about a cutting plan and then I got the BEST cut that I have had as a wavy girl! My hair was immediately different. The waves bounced up and the strategic layers gave me more volume and shape.
I actually have an appointment with Nicole today and I cannot wait to go for my appointment as my hair improves every visit! Nicole is a sweetheart and you will feel safe knowing that your curls are in a master's hand!

After fighting my curly hair for my entire life, I finally just gave up. I discovered the book "Curly Girl" and then learned that Nicole Maere, here in my town (!), had trained in New York City at Devachon Salon with Lorraine Massey. It's been almost a year now, and I absolutely LOVE my hair. Nicole has a unique gift for finding the best style that suits not only my hair, but also gives me my best look. She is also an expert in the hair color technique of "Pintura", specifically designed for curly hair. Nicole's love of curly hair, and her attention to detail with her clients, is a gift, and an asset to Salon Bliss. I'm so glad I found her!
