Jessica is Awesome! She took the time to understand my hair and understand my goals for my hair (growing it out and not going 500 miles every few months to get it cut). I am trying to go every 4 to 5 months to get it cut so that it grows out a bit. It is several months later and still looks great! I have a 3B curl pattern for the most part.

Jessica was great. She took me through all the steps and how to use the products and cut my hair very well. I waited 3 weeks to post this review b/c my hair often fights haircuts or it looks great at the salon and then awful at home. Thank goodness this never happened! It has been wonderful since the day Jessica cut it!!

Jessica is amazing! Took time out to talk to me about my hair, gave me a plan to get where I want to go (my hair was cut to short by someone else) and a great cut!! Thank you Jessica. HIGHLY recommend. Sincerely, Beth

Jessica is great! She took the time to talk to me about the cut and the steps she was going to make to ensure I would have the best experience possible. The review of the products being used and a step by step tutorial on how to use the products was also given by another stylist, Erica. I have never been a salon that took the time to educate you in the way that they did. I really appreciated the service, the prices, and the cut is amazing!

I have been seeing a Deva stylist in the Chicagoland area for the past few years - this is the only way for those of us with kinky curly hair to maintain control of our curls. In recent months my stylist has gained so many clients that it makes it a bit hard to get that last minute appointment. While traveling to the St. Louis area I checked the naturally curly site and was thrilled to find the Frontenac location. I called and even though I had a tight window to be seen they accommodated my request. I was scheduled for an early morning appointment. Everyone was prompt and professional. Jessica speaks frankly and directly so keep this in mind - she will lay it on the line with regard to your hair condition and treatment needed. Overall I feel I received top notch treatment and the cut was amazing. I cannot wait for my next visit to St. Louis - This will be my first stop!

I could not disagree more with the last post and am so glad I found Frontenac Salon! The salon is quaint, personal, and very welcoming. Jessica listened and asked questions about what I was looking for and did not pick up her scissors until we were on the same page. I have always struggled with my wavy hair being weighed down with no body, but I left that day with my hair looking the best it ever has and I haven't had to blow-dry it since. I also love the Deva products and just wish I had found them (and the salon) a decade ago! I went back for highlights the next week and LOVE them. The prices are pretty much what I have paid elsewhere (actually, I've paid more for a so-called "curly cut")... I was actually expecting them to be higher since they are in Frontenac and was pleasantly surprised. Another thing worth mentioning is that they seem to keep the Deva products fully stocked, which I have found is not the case at a couple of the larger chains that sell it. And if you buy 3, they give you a discount, which is pretty great! I could not be happier to have finally found a place that I will recommend to anyone and everyone.

First I would like to say if you are expecting a top notch experience from this salon then you may want to look elsewhere. For the prices that they charge here I feel you should get nothing but personalized service while you are there. I had my hair colored and higlighted then cut by Jessica whom proceeded to work on at least 4 other clients at the same time she was working on my hair. She is a hyper person and constantly flits from one person to the next without washing her hands, nor does she come back in the time she says your color needs to stay on as she is too busy working on someone other than you. If I am going to spend $200 in a salon then I expect to only have my stylist working on ME! I also felt the salon is very dated looking and frankly a bit dirty. Not what I would expect in this neighborhood. They don't even bother to take your coat for you, they just vaguely wave you toward a changing area that also has seen way better days. Despite this I decided to try Jessica for a second chance. As soon as I arrived I told her I haad a problem with the color she put one washing out within 2 weeks. I had shared with her on my first visit that temporary colors do not seem to adhere to my hair so I was not wild about her appying one on mine but she insisted. So when I complained that the color faded out very fast she told me about a treatment that she wanted to try that would cost even more money and was also temp color. I was a bit dismayed that she would want to not only re-do what did not work the first time but charge me even more??? When I expressed my concerns she seemed embarrassed and aggravated with me and pretty much acted as if I was making this up. SO needless to say that will be my Last visit to Jessica at this salon. I wish everyone that wrote reviews here would be as honest as I have been.

Jessica is the second curly stylist that I have been to and she is great! She really took the time to understand how I like to wear (and style) my hair. She cut my hair dry and a second time wet, and it was a great cut. After a few days, I thought some of the layers in the back were a little too short, so I went back and she fixed it in a few minutes (no charge). I'm definitely going back again!

Yaaay, I found my new hair stylist!!! My experience at this salon was fantastic! Not only did I appreciate Jessica's kindness, but also her knowledge and experience. I left my hair in her hands and told her to do with it as she will and I’m sooo glad I did because I left the salon feeling like a million bucks! The cut was fabulous and my curls have never been more defined and healthy looking. My experience surpassed all expectations. I have never left a salon thinking “this is my new salon,” but I can definitely say that I will not be going anywhere else for my cuts.

For the first time in (60) years, I have had a cut and style that is "ME"!!!! Thank God he allowed me to find Jessica, I don't know what I would be doing without her. She was truly "Heaven Sent". Curly girls have no where to go without the knowledge of how to work with curly hair. This salon excells. I can only hope and pray that there is one on the east side very soon. Thank you for listening.

Having recently moved to St. Louis with naturally curly hair, I was looking for someone who could give a good cut along with great colour...and I found my new favourite in Jessica at Frontenac Salon! Jessica and the staff at the salon were very friendly and took the time to teach me how to love my curls using Deva product. Jessica talked with me first and made some recommendations, explaining everything as she went. A couple of hours later I was leaving the salon with gorgeous colour (that was less harsh than my previous salon!) and a fantastic new cut of stylish curls! I'm hooked...I've already made my next appointment with Jessica and you should too!

I had my first curly cut today and it turned out amazing. Jessica did such a great job and took her time explaining how to use Deva Curl product and style my hair. I love it so much that I can't imagine taking the time to straighten it again :-) I am a loyal client and have already recommended her to my curly headed friends. Every stylist at the salon is super friendly which is definitely a bonus.

I have been to other supposedly curly salons in St. Louis, but those stylists just tolerated my hair. They didn't love it, and they certainly lacked the skill or passion to style it properly. Not so with Jessica and Frontenac Salon and Spa. These people love my curly hair as much as I do, and for once, a stylist listened to what I wanted. I have always wanted a daring short curly haircut, but no stylist before ever came close to what Jessica did for me. I felt like a movie star afterwards. I didn't have to run home to wet it again and restyle it. Actually, for the first time, I try my best every day to mimic the way Jessica styled it for me. I won't go anywhere else again.

I have very naturally curly hair and have never been able to find a stylist who actually knew how to cut and style my hair...until now. Jessica is amazing!!! She had so much knowledge to share with me about how to help my curls look their best and on top of that also gave me an amazing hair cut. The salon is beautiful and the stylist are so friendly and caring, I felt like Kim and Jessica were two of my best girl friends that I had known forever. I have never felt comfortable having shorter hair because I always ended up with a big poof ball. Jessica has changed that. I love my new very stylish "no poof" hair cute!!! I would recommend this salon to anyone who is looking to stop fighting their curls and needs the help to embrace and love them :):)

I went to this salon from a recommendation by a friend. I have been very cautious about who I let cut my hair because it is a lot to deal with. I found the service and expertise fantastic. My stylist was super helpful and very knowledgeable about how to take care of curly hair in various useful situations (e.g. swimming). I would strongly recommend this salon to anyone, male or female, who is interested in getting a great curly-haired haircut.

I recived Jessica's card from someone I'd never met who was passing it along because they saw I I had naturally curly hair and they did too and said it changed there life. I was suprised and taken off gaurd at first but as a curly girl I couldn't help but be intriuged so I checked out the web site. All the stylists had beautiful natural curls so I called to find out more. The recptionist was so pleasent and I was offered a free curl consulation. I booked and appointment and was pleasently suprised. Jessica had so much knoweldge about curls and took tons of time to make sure I understood everything I needed to know even though I could tell she was very busy. I felt so at home in their beautiful salon and the staff were all so nice!! I had to share with everyone my experince b/c I've never been somewhere when I felt so comfortable and got so much great info about my curls. I'll for sure be back to see Jessica and the girls at Frontenac Salon. Check out there web site and give them a call for your free consultation!! WWW.Callingallcurls.com

It was an awesome experience to be in a salon where most of the stylists have so much knoweldge and trianing with curly hair. Plus they all have curls themselves. I strongly suggest that you go see one of these stylists. Thanks girls!!

The crew at Frontenac Salon is fabulous! They use DevaCurl products and have been trained by Lorraine Massey in how to treat and cut curly hair - it makes such a difference. My stylist, Jessica, gave me loads of information about how to use the products and style my hair - she even gave me a set of duckbill clips to style my hair with at home! It is so refreshing to go to a salon where most of the stylists have GORGEOUS natural curls - this is the place to go if you want truly beautiful, natural curls. It quite a drive for me, but I wouldn't go anyplace else.
