  I should have known something was wrong when he started pulling on my very tight curls with a fine tooth wire comb, causing so much pain I was wincing, my eyes tearing up. My hair was being yanked out of my head, breaking, snapping and flying all over the place. I should have left the salon then and there… but I didn’t listen to my instincts and I stayed put thinking the worst was over. I was wrong! Ignoring my request for a trim, he hacked off many hard earned inches, thinning out by big bouncy curls and turning them into skinny wet noodles. He also cut so close to my scalp that I was left with visible bald spots.
