Stacie is now at the new Secca Salon in Highwood & she still cuts curly hair great. The new salon is very inviting and they make you feel very comfortable as a client.

I saw Stacie today at Mane Cutters. I got 7-9 inches of my hair chopped off and I couldn't be happier!!! She cut my hair dry like I expected, then washed with No Poo and put in KC styling products before sitting me under the drying with low heat for about 20 minutes. She finished up the drying with a diffuser. I liked it. It was okay. But I wasn't satisfied. I wanted it a little shorter. So she re-cut it. She's very patient and listens and advises. She aims to please and its obvious that she wants you to be happy when you walk out. AND she gave me a military discount!!! Definitely going back!

I live in Detroit, MI but frequently travel to Chicago to visit my sister. I got my first Devacut from Stacie in November and couldn't be happier with her! She paid attention to what I wanted and gave me some wonderful tips about styling my hair. She was especially helpful with tips about second day hair. I will definitely be going back to Stacie!

I found out about this salon today via naturallycurly.com and immediately made an appointment to get a much needed haircut. My hair really was a "mane." I loved its fullness, but it had no shape. As it continued to grow both outward and in length it became more and more difficult to manage, not to mention the damage it was doing to all of my bathroom drains. I've never been comfortable with anyone cutting my hair since I've been natural (3yrs) because everyone I go to wants to treat my hair the same way they treat straight hair: soak it, pull it taut, and cut the ends straight across, all done with a fine tooth comb. And then they have the nerve to look at me like it's *my* fault their comb snapped in half. This time, however, was completely different. Stacie sat me down in her chair, sectioned off parts of my hair, and started snipping away. No combs, no water, no pulling! She meticulously focused on each curl, how it lay against my head, and judged where to cut it based on those factors alone (from what I can tell). This makes the process take a bit longer than your average haircut, but it is well worth the wait. Stacie's a delight to talk to, she doesn't try to push retail on you, and you can tell that she's completely focused on doing things right. After the cut, she washed me and set me under the dryer for about 20 minutes. Then we sat in her chair again and she had me evaluate the cut based on how it lay naturally after being soaked. I had her tweak a few things here and there, but not too much. I had the cut I wanted. I am totally satisfied with her work and I will recommend her to everyone I know.

I've been to Staci three or four times now, and I would not go anywhere else!! This last time my hair was a mess. After having a baby and my hair getting thinner and losing some of its curl, I was at a loss and had started wearing hats and scarves because I just couldn't style it. But Staci fixed it!! she gave me a really cute cut that makes it look like I have more volume than I actually have. I was just so relieved that she was able to understand the situation. I agree with all the previous things mentioned. Staci is so fun and easy to talk to, the prices are VERY reasonable, and on top of that with a good cut you do not have to go back for 3-4 months. I recommend Staci to anyone with curly hair!

OMG! I'm so happy now, I don't know what to do with myself! Stacie did a fabulous job on my hair and my 14 year old son's hair! We've flown to NY, Boston and driven 3 hrs each way to Green Bay to see a Ouidad stylist. All did a great job, but costly and impossible to keep up. Now, with Stacie and her Deva cut, we can look good and be just around the corner from our house! Stacie, you leave me, I'm going to hunt you down! LOL

I have been to all the NYC curly salons - Deva, Ouidad... and Stacie is hands-down better than the stylist at those salons. She is incredibly friendly and easy to talk to vs the attitude you find at many other salons. The salon is low-key and no frills, which is fine - I much prefer a stylist who listens to me and remembers me and my hair issues! I highly reccomend Stacie!

I just went to Stacie and I cannot get over how hot my hair looks! I love it! My curls look amazing- she really takes the time to explain to you why she's doing everything, from cutting, to paper towel drying...Amazing...I found her here after reading all the reviews and my experience couldn't have been better. My advice? JUST GO!

HURRAY! I found Stacie! Based on the previous reviews on this salon I went to see Stacie for a haircut and I was NOT disappointed. The salon itself is very down to earth- no intimidating-like huge mirrors everywhere with loud music.. its a friendly atmosphere. Stacie is truly an expert curl Devachan trained stylist and it shows in the way she cuts. I think this salon is the best kept curl-hair salon secret in the north shore thanks to Stacie! My advice: Go to Stacie!

This is my first review here, and my first-ever deva cut! I went in pretty much with the idea of "please just fix this, however long it takes." The salon itself is a mom-and-pop stop, which doesn't bother me in the slightest. If you are looking for something upscale, this place might not fit the bill. But Stacie's cuts do! My hair was flat, barely curly and looking particularly sad. She was very vocal in discussing the cuts I had had in the past, where my hair was and where it could be with the correct cut, etc. She used all deva products and wasn't pushy AT ALL about purchasing product. She gave me samples to try. PLUS, she told me that she actually has two price points...one that is just a cut and another that adds a wash and dry. Very pleased!

My two kids and I have been using Stacie since the day she returned from her class in NY. We have been to the salon in NY and she is next best thing to a NY haircut. She is talented and patient and is very easy to talk to about what you want and want to change. She is very anxious to learn from her clients that have been managing our curls longer than she has. Some stylist are intimidating and think they know it all, but that is what is great about Stacie, she will take your comments and suggestions and learn from them. I continue to reccommend her to other curly heads and everyone is pleased with the result.

After reading a few reviews on this site, I decided to make the 45 minutes trip to Highland Park to have Stacie cut my curly hair. It was totally worth it! Sure, I spent more than I usually do for a cut ($85), but it wasn't just a cut. Stacie talked me through styling my hair, took the time to show me a few techniques, and told me what she was using on my hair and why. My hair looks and feels great. Give Stacie a try!!

I was thrilled to find that there is now a DevaCurl Haircare Specialist in my area! I went to see Stacie last month for a cut, and I'm so glad I did. She was able to help me keep my length while losing the "bulk." My hair just lays so much nicer now. Stacie is warm and friendly - I felt more like she was an old friend rather than someone I just met. She talked with me at length about products, hair care, etc. I'll definitely be back, and I'm telling everyone I know. - Dori

Finally a Devachan trained stylist in the Chicagoland area! Stacie gave me the greatest cleansing and styling EVER! I used to have to fly to New York for this! No more! Ross's may not be as funky as the salons in NYC, but Stacie will make up the difference. She even feng shui-ed me and cut my hair accoriding to my elements. If you are curly like me, you MUST go and see her, you will LOVE it! -- Rachel
