Hi, I wanted to give a review on this salon. I used to come to Urban Textures for a long time my hairstylist was Keith and he always did a fabulous job and I always left the salon happy. Unfortunately he left and I had to make appointments with who I thought was also a fabulous hairdresser, Kristo in August. But oh was I wrong. Although he does hair extremely well he is lacking the most important skill, LISTENING TO WHAT THE CUSTOMER WANTS AND NOT WHAT HE WANTS. I made an appointment with kristo for the first time. The first time I did my hair he did a wash and style and I he told me that he wanted to shape my hair. I agreed with him and told him he can do it as long as he does not cut it short because I hate short hair! Although I told him that he still kept on cutting cutting and cutting. I was so devastated and unhappy after he was finished with my hair that I felt like crying. I have never felt so unsatisfied at a hair salon in a long time and I have been to many hairdressers very often in toronto for the past ten yrs and I have never been so unsatisfied because he did not listen to my main concern, I HATE SHORT HAIR. It is now December and my hair that was once beautiful lon and luscious, is now and still short limp and lifeless. I still feel like crying when I look inthe mirror because my hair is taking a very long time to grow back and has never been the same since Kristo touched it. I made a vow that I will never step foot in that Salon and I now go to another great black salon called Azan's. Andrea De Leon

This is by far the worst service ever! I arrived at 12:00pm for an appointment, which i was getting a relaxer re-touch and style and didn't leave until 5:00pm (closing time).- This service should only take approx 2hrs. I was treated bad by christos and I heard him talking down to his staff. And he has his nanny who does his house work and babysits his kids doing hair! Who in their right mind wants a person with zero experience in their head? I've seen better service in toronto, and no one deserves to be treated this way after they put their time and money into bad service, it feels like your getting ripped off!

Christos is the Creative director and owner of Urban Textures. He is amazing! I moved to Montreal from Toronto and I have yet to get a stylist to take my naturally curly/kinky African hair from kinky ringlets to silky swinging straight the way Christos and his staff do. He trains all of his staff to work with extreme textures with out compromising the health of the hair. When you get a Urban Textures blow-dry, there's NO FRIZZ regardless of the humidity or dampness in the air. Anyone with any texture who wants a stylist who truly understands not just straight or curly but any texture should check them out!
