  I was watching Chronicle one night and discovered Kyle from DeKwa on Newbury Street. Kyle donated his time and I donated my hair to "Locks for Love." I must admit I was nervous at first, but Kyle seemed so sure of himself that I just relaxed and enjoyed the moment. When all was said and done I walked out with great new hairstyle. Kyle worked with my curls not against them and the new do works for me. Thank you Kyle

  Even though this was the 3rd time I was donating my hair to LOL I was really nerous. I heard that Kyle at DeKwa was really good, especially at cutting curly hair, and supported LOL. When he cut off the initial 10 inches I got really nervous because my hair had never been that short before and I was so afraid of it poofing out. Kyle quickly eased my fears and before I knew it he gave me a really cute, short haircut that is not like anything I've ever had before. I LOVE IT. And am still getting complements. I definitely recommend him!

  I am always very wary of getting my hair cut by a "new" stylist, as in someone who has never cut my hair before. That's why, since I've lived in Boston, I've only gotten my hair cut once a year when I went home to California for Christmas! But that is just madness, it needs to be cut more often — so I went on the recommendation of a friend to see Kyle at DeKwa, a fabulous Newbury St. salon (always be prepared to spend some money on a good cut, I say). Kyle was awesome and very, very attentive — a perfectionist! I was also delighted to find that the price tag was not at all outrageous! If you're in the Boston area, go see Kyle, he will sort you out.
