I moved to the area last year after having another stylist doing my hair for over 17 years, as anyone with curly hair knows its hard to find a stylist who is both good at cutting curly hair but is also great with colour. I did go to someone just once before finding Danielle and went home in tears & had to put my hair in a ponytail. Since finding Danielle my hair has become healthy & it looks the best ever. I actually recently went back to my old stylist while on a visit & can honestly say that Danielle's cut & colour is so much better. The brand she uses to colour with leaves your hair in feeling so healthy & the colours last really well. Anyone with curly hair won't be disappointed when they leave Danielle.

I get my hair done at Andrew Mark Salon by Danielle Mitchell. The salon is very clean and the staff is friendly. I love going to Danielle because she is an expert with my hair type (curly/frizzy). She is honest and really cares about the health of my hair. A good color and cut is extremely important to me and I can say with confidence that Danielle is one of the best for both! I highly recommend the salon and Danielle.

I have been going to Danielle Mitchell at Katherine Lynn Salon (248-879-3090) for years!! ! Danielle is a curly hair expert!!! Being she has naturally curly hair herself..she understands the trials that can come with that. She has made my naturally wavy hair look better than it ever has and she always makes sure I know how to acheieve the salon look at home with products. What sold me for life to Danielle was everytime I leave the salon I dont feel like I have to wash my hair as soon as I get home,,,,You curly haired girls know what I am talking about. Not only is she faboulous with my wavy hair...her cut and color are out of this world!!!!!!! She uses Komen color and I have NEVER had my hair be sooooo shiny and healthy and not fade in a hot minute! The staff at the salon is super friendly and does not have that "stuffy" feeling...I would HIGHLY recommend Danielle if you have curly, wavy or even pin straight hair..she is the best!!!!!

I had one cut done by Danielle and, while she did an ok job, I decided I did not wish to return to her for future cuts. I did not necessarily have the sense that Danielle was customizing the cut to my hair; rather it just felt like any cut done by any stylist. I met with Danielle for a consultation a week before my cut, and she talked to me as though she didn't understand why I (a person who had not had a hair cut in over 10 years) would desire a consult. Danielle was only moderately friendly, and I left after my 2nd appointment feeling a little like I was just taking up her time.
Danielle is amazing. Not only does she do an awesome job cutting and styling curly hair but she is very knowledgeable about products to enhance curls. My hair has never been so curly before going to Danielle! I have recommended Danielle to all of my friends with curly hair and have gotten some great feed-back from people. She is for sure the person to go to if you have curly hair in Rochester!

After several failed, blotched hair cuts and color with various stylists in the last five years, I was extremely hesitant to try again. It had been over two years since I had my hair trimmed and needless to say, it was a MESS.
Based on the recommendations on naturallycurly.com for Danielle at Andrew Marke Salon, I made an appointment. As the day and time drew nearer, I almost cancelled...I am so happy I did not! Danielle is awesome with my hair type (3a/b) both in cutting but also in color and highlights. For the first time in my life, I love my hair! Truly love it.
Danielle also has recommended several products that have also made a difference in how my hair looks and acts.
If you have curly hair of any type, Danielle is your gal!

Just had Danielle do my cut and I really love it! She really understands curly hair. It was great to leave a salon and NOT have to rush home to make it look right! It looked terrific and she gave me some new ideas on how to get it curlier and behave! I plan on going back and having her do my color as well. She is a really nice, down to earth person! I drove about an hour to get there and it was worth it!

First let me start by saying I have naturally curly red hair. Very coarse and it felt like steel wool, until I found Danielle. I like to think of her as my therapist. I have been going to her for several years and she is truly amazing! She colors my hair and makes it look just like it did before all the gray started to appear. No one would ever think it wasn't my natural color. I recently had Danielle chemically straighten my hair. It looks incredible. It feels so soft and is really easy to take care of. Instead of taking over an hour and a half to dry and use a flat iron, it now takes less than 20 minutes. If you're ever thinking of having your hair straighten go see Danielle, you won't be disappointed.

I have been looking for a stylist that knows curly hair, who is attentive to my needs and gives tips on styling and I finally found one! I just got my hair colored, highlighted and cut by Danielle and I am soooo excited. It's been a long time since I was happy with my naturally curly hair and now I have the style and color I love! Danielle works really well with curly hair. My hair is very curly, but quite fine. Danielle also colors my hair. I think she does a great job with the cut and understands what hair colors are best to cover the gobs of grey hair I have. I often have women (and some men) ask me about the curl or the color.

I've been going to Danielle for about a year now. I never knew how to do ANYTHING with my hair, she has been sooooo patient in trying to teach me everytime I see her. I always make plans for that night whenever I get my hair done because it always looks so good (far better than anything I could ever do and I've had the hair for 26 years, lol). I have naturally curly hair and have always hated it because I could never figure out what to do with it. Now that Danielle's teaching me, I like it. I'm also more comfortable with her helping me because she also has very curly hair and knows the messy that I can make!
