Chase is so good at cutting curly (ringlet) hair. I have been going to his salon on North Columbia Street in Chapel Hill, North Carolina for 3 years now. I like his new location next to the old one even better! It is private with no distracting conversations between the stylists. Best of all, my hair looks better than it has since I moved here from NY! Meloney M.

I called Chase Hair Studio looking for another stylist but Chase was so helpful and nice on the phone that I decided to give him a try. God am I happy that I did. He is no bull crap, KNOWS HOW TO CUT CURLY HAIR and gives you a free "touch up hair cut " within a week or so if you need it since he likes to err on the long side! By the way, I didn't need it, I look Great! Chase is so cool, down to earth and his prices are unreal for Chapel Hill. Carley R.

I love getting my hair cut by Ginger. She does a great job because she cuts each curl individually and gives it a nice overall shape. She doesn't push products although she will give you suggestions if you want. She only charges $26 so it's a great value. Best hair cut I have ever had.

I read about Ginger on this board. She is very affordable -- $26. I went to her a few times. While she does seem to know how to cut curly hair, she did not give me a good style. This seems to be the problem I have found with stylists in the area -- they can cut curly hair but don't know how to style it.

Ginger is great. She cuts each curl individually and doesn't push products although what she uses is amazing. Someone else had posted on here that she only charged $18 but that is the price for mens cuts. Womens cost $26 and it is worth every penny.

I have very tight curly hair and went to Ginger at Chase Hair based on all of the recommendations on this site. Unfortunately I was not happy with the cut at all - I usually wear long layers and felt as if I had "triangle hair" with very little shape after the cut. I thought Ginger was very nice and it is possible she was having an off day, but it was definitely a disappointment. I went to Celia at Salon K in Durham shortly after my cut and she did a fantastic job adding shape to the style.

I know Ginger has already been recommended, but it's been a couple of years. So I wanted all the curly hair girls out there in Chapel Hill to know that she still rocks! :)

I made an appointment with Ginger based on the recommendations I read here, and I'm glad I did! (Thanks to the recommend-ers!) Ginger is very friendly and professional, and took the time to look at and feel my hair, ask me what I wanted to do/how much I wanted to cut off, etc., even before wetting it down and getting ready to cut. She did an excellent job for a reasonable price. I'll definitely visit her again!
