  I went in as a walk-in one morning. I had a deep conditioner, roller set, followed by a blow-out and a flat iron. My 3c hair was very soft and super straight. I asked for a trim and light layering, but the stylist did not want to put in layers - she said "No, your hair is curly." I took this as she did not know how to cut curly hair, so I left it at that because I didn't want my hair to be jacked up. It was a really good blowout, and I didn't have any problems going back to curly.

  I took a chance and went to this Dominican owned salon down the street from my house...several friends had said they were good on all kinds of hair, even the curly and kinky! So I went and I will probably never go anywhere else again! They gave me an awesome blow out the first time, then i went back and they gave me a wonderful haircut that looks great curly or straight. I love my hairstyle and no longer want to hide my hair under a paperbag.
