Slava saved my dry unruly hair after years of blowing it out and now I have bouncy healthy curls! When I decided to do the big chop, he was on vacation so he sent me to Alice who did the CUTEST hair cut I've ever had. Christo 5th Ave. is a great salon, I swear by the products and Christo is always gracious in greeting people when they come into the salon.
Having Alice cut my hair was worth the 20 years I did not cut my hair! I canot believe that my hair could look as gorgeous and it does, and that someone could actually cut curly hair the right way! Alice is nice, and sweet, and dealt with all my nerves, and gave me the most gorgeous hair cut. I am calling now to go back for my next cut!
I absolutely love Alice. She's amazing. I've been to many of the curly hair salons and have not been pleased by the cuts. I can't imagine going anywhere else besides Christo's to get my cut by Alice. She spends her time getting to know exactly the look you are going for and really precise with the cut. love her!
If you have curly hair, do yourself a favor and try out Christo's! I have been going to Christo 5th Avenue for over a year now. Never in my life has anyone ever cut my hair as beautifully as Slava. He is a true curl expert! My curls used to get weighed down by the cut and just frizz - or my hair would get so bulky I would just keep it in a bun or pony tail. But for the last year I have had great curls. Slava also colors my hair and the color is the best I have ever had. It brings out my fair skin and blue eyes. I consistently get compliments at work, from relatives, and even when I am on vacation I have had strangers comment on my cut and color. I first went to Christo's just for a consultation. I was a little intimidated to go to a NYC salon on 5th avenue, but everyone is so gracious and welcoming. I remember also how excited Slava was to makeover my look, he really loves what he does. After a few months I got the hang of the Christo hair products Slava showed me how to use. I wash my hair, use leave in conditioner, then mix a little gel and lotion in my hand, use my fingers to comb it through my hair, blow dry and viola - I have a great head of bouncy curls. It sounds corny, but when I look in the mirror I am so pleased with my look I always have to smile and think "thank you" to Slava.
Like so many other people I have gone through my fair share of hair cutting, always looking for the one person that would "get it right". Well, after many years of searching I have finally found that person, Christo. After many botched attempts by other so-called "experts", my curls were a real mess and in much need of serious TLC. After reading the other reviews about Christo, I decided to give it a shot and see if there was anything that he could do for me. My first visit with him was great! He took a good look at what we were working with and gave me a very educational consultation. At the end of that first visit I could have just hugged him! I looked in the mirror and couldn't believe what a fantastic job he did with what he had to work with. Before I left I made sure to schedule my next visit and he gave me a couple of recommendations to make my next visit even more successful than the first. I can't speak well enough about Christo and I highly recommend going to him once because after that first visit you won't want to go anywhere else.
It's taken me forever to find a place in NYC I want to return to, but at last my searching has ended! If you're looking for someone to expertly work with your hair type, personal taste, and styling needs, Christo is your man. He took the time and consideration to give a cut that worked for me and was meticulous about the execution. I have fine hair and too many times stylists didn't take that or my more classic tastes into consideration, razoring wispy layers or giving me a style I didn't ask for - I believe in an attempt to disguise their lack of technical experience. Christo is amazing with the scissors and I got exactly what I requested - a chic, sophisticated cut that totally suits my hair type and style I was going for. He also did my color and it looks rich and shiny and absolutely perfect. A true professional, a great location, and friendly staff, what more could you want?!
This is my first ever review but I have to let you know about Christo. He has been doing my hair for the past few months and has always exceeded my expectations. For the past few years I have been bored with my hair but also cautious to do too much to change it. The problem are: the color wasn't as bold as I wanted plus I didn't know what I wanted. Since Christo has been recommending his own line, I have been able to do so much more with my hair. Christo also colored my hair and it was perfect, again. WOW, when he was finished I looked fabulous. He captured what I have been looking for all these past years!!! I have needed him for a long time. As a true artist, give him the palette and let him do what he does best and you will be surprised.
Alice has been cutting my hair for about a year, and she is wonderful. No matter what she does my hair looks great, and she really seems to enjoy her job. Plus either she's a really great actress, or her complements really are genuine. She never sounds fake like some hairstylists do.
I Love, Love, Love Christo Fifth Avenue salon. This statement should not be taken lightly. Before I always thought that it was impossible to find an acceptable salon in NY, and thus, I resorted to cutting my own hair before letting someone else do it. Christo Fifth Avenue has been the answer to my prayers. Everyone is friendly and willing to assist you the second you walk in the door. I always make my appointments spontaneously, and they are consistently accommodating. Christo himself is my stylist and his precision and eye for detail are highly polished. He is very professional, yet appropriately conversational. An appointment with Christo never fails to brighten my day. I am always incredibly satisfied with the end result, as Christo is able to successfully communicate what should be done, what could be done, and what will be done. Thank you, Christo!
My hair texture is kind of mixed. To have a good hair cut is always my dream. Recently, I had my done in Christo 5th Ave. in NY. This place is awesome. Excellent atmosphere and friendliness as well as personalization of service. Christo was very informative and patient and did exactly what I asked for while maintaining his professional judgment. My hair is very difficult to deal with but he took the extra time and care to cut it properly and made sure he was doing what I wanted. Really friendly and laid-back, and totally professional. I am picky and am soooo pleased. Compared to the rubbish haircuts I have gotten before, this was a great deal. Absolutely recommend them to everyone!
I just went and had my hair done yesterday. Im so happy with the end result. I did the biosoftening with the deep treatment and I had a haircut. My hair was very curly and damaged. I feel like a new person. Tameeka is so patient and she listens to you (finally someone who cares about what you want) and she explains everything to you. She spent about 40 min just for the consultation. She showed me exactly how to style my hair and she wrote it down for me in detail. I ended up buying all the products she recommended because I was so happy with the end result. My hair is still curly but not the tight spirals I used to have, its a lighter curl. Plus when you soften up the curl your hair gets that much longer. They tell you if you are having trouble styling your hair you can come back anytime for help. They even sent me an email with links to videos to show you how to style your hair Be prepared however, to spend a lot. For me it was so worth it. I keep asking myself why I waited this long to go to Christo! I will recommend Christo to all my friends.
I was first introduced to Cypriano's magic two years ago while accompanying my mother to one of her hair appointments. Cypriano and I immediately hit it off. After seeing what an incredible job he did on my mom's hair, I knew I had to make an appointment. Although haircuts have always been full of angst and nerve racking for me, I felt so secure and confident in Cypriano's hands. Of course, he did not let me down. His ability is incredible and precise. He is so wonderfully knowledgeable and helpful that it makes the haircut that much more enjoyable. I would recommend him to anyone looking for a fantastic, flawless haircut!Thank you Cypriano for being the BEST hair stylist I know!
I've spent my whole life fighting my curly hair, trying to tame it, straighten it, make it into something that it's not. Alice made me love my hair. for the first time in 27 years, I embraced my curls! Now, I ONLY go to Alice. Even when I moved out of New York, I would fly back to NY regularly just to make sure Alice was the only person who touched my hair. She is AMAZING. She's always positive and upbeat and she ACTUALLY LISTENS to what you want. How many of us have had to deal with hairdresseres that do whatever they want and don't care what you have to say about it? That will never happen with Alice. She's the best!
Tameeka is fabulous and works wonders with my curly hair. I followed her from her last salon and will follow her to the end of the earth to get my hair done. Her haircuts are fabulous and she works wonders with curls especially if you have several different hair textures. I have recommended Tameeks to several friends with curly hair and they all swear by her. Tameeka really is the best!
I have very curly and thin hair (3b - I think). Dry it looks volumnous; wet you can see and feel how thin it is. I wore it somewhat long 10 years ago, and I want to return to that style. I spent months growing out my hair (particularly the side bangs), so that a good curly hairstylist could give it a good cut and it could continue to grow into a longer good look.
The service @ Christo is great. Nice welcome. Warm environment.
No luck for me with Slava. He didn't read my hair at all. I think he went into formula curly haircut number whatever. He recut everything I had just grown out, and left thin length that looked stringy and thin without the volume of the hair he had just cut. He used too much product for my hair - leaving it crunchy and unnatural. It looked terrible when I left, and it has been a cut to manage in the weeks after (you know, sometimes you go home, wash your hair, and it turns out it's a good cut but you just didn't like the styling).
Michael did a good job with my color and highlights. It was a little blonder than I would have liked.
I did buy some products and have found they can work for me if I don't use as much as Slava. He's a nice guy, but not for my head of hair.
Alice gave me the best haircut I have ever had in my life and I've tried most of the famous salons in NYC. We had a very relaxed and informative discussion before she did anything. She understood about the different types of curls and gently made suggestions about what would look best on me. It was unhurried and there was absolutely no pressure at all to try products or do anything I wasn't totally in favor of. I have received many compliments on my hair since the cut and it is much easier to style. It's never looked this good and I'm so happy with it.
Everyone in the salon was cordial, professional, and very attentive. A delightful experience all around.
I had a fabulous cut with Alice. I also had a great cut a couple of months ago from Christo, but since he is tres expensive, and I need to get my hair cut often, I decided to go to one of his stylists. He recommended Alice.
From start to finish it's A plus. Lovely service, but more important, absolutely terrific cut. She is first rate. Christo's salon offers free seminars which are helpful in deciding whether to get a cut there. I've been to Ouidad and Bumble and Bumble. Alice at Christo's was so much better.
I've tried a lot of salons and wanted to see what Christo was like, so I made an appointment with Tameeka. While she was very nice, I have to say, that it was probably one of the worst cuts I've ever had. I actually asked her to blow it out -- which I never do -- so I could walk down the street. I then had to keep blowing it out until my next haircut, which was with someone else whom I trust. A friend, however, was there with Tameeka, and had a great haircut. I think Tameeka's probably best with Type 4 hair (African American).
This talented stylist did an amazing job on my hair. I read up all the reviews before-hand so I was expecting her to be good and I'm glad to say I wasn't dissapointed. I made the trip to NYC to see family and I just couldn't miss the opportunity to get my hair done at the same time. I have never been able to get defined curls without having to manually twist them into shape, which is a major chore as my hair is so thick. With Curlisto products I don't need to do any of that ever again. The products are amazing, they make the hair feel soft, not at all hard or cakey.. and when you get your hair done there you get a complimentary training session on how to use all the products yourself from start to finish so you know how to get the same effect at home. I also got a few highlights put in by Michael, he did a wonderful job and he is too sweet. He consulted me very well, he listened and made sure he understood exactly what I wanted. I will definately be returning to NY for more of the same.
"Today I went to Michael at Christo and I just had to let everyone know that my experience there was a 10. Not only was the color perfect the service and staff were exceptional. I also received a hair Rehab Treatment that left my hair shiny, beautiful and wanting more. So if your looking for a great colorist and a great atmosphere go to Christo's on 5th.

I have been going to Cypriano at Christo Fifth Avenue salon for 2 1/2 years. My hair has been transformed. I was a long time customer at Devachan and other 'curly' salons, but Cypriano has both the cut and the color exactly right. It's often 10 - 14 weeks between cut/color treatments because I live in Switzerland, but my hair is consistent for the whole time period and is more healthy than it's been in years. Cypriano is an artist.
I'm on my way back to Cypriano today for a cut, color, and highlights. I love what this master does with my hair! Cypriano has been working his magic on my hair for over a year now and I'm so glad I discovered him. Never any pressure, expert results, and whereas I never really liked having curly hair, now I embrace it. Thanks, Cypriano, for making me look and feel beautiful!

By referral,I had my color corrected by Michael at Christo's. I had been highlighting my hair for the last two years and it was completely blonde and washed out. Not to mention dry and frizzy. I am getting married in a month and a half so I was a bit nervous about a change. However, after a more than thorough consultation with Michael and after him suggesting a few things we began. Michael gave me a face framing highlight and colored the rest of my hair a deep chocolate brown!! The highlights were a beautiful caramel blond and shimmered though my curls. The end result was unbelievable. I couldnt have been happier and my fiance' loved the change. Michael gave the best color I have ever had. Christo's is the salon for color!!

After reading all of the glowing reviews about what a life-changing experience Christo's was, I decided to give it a shot while visiting NY. $367 later, I can't say that I was wowed. Slavo definitely spent a lot of time with me, he recommended a treatment for frizz that was $250 which I wasn't comfortable with (the cut alone was $135) so we did a deep conditioning treatment for $150. Now, I know I'm from Atlanta so things are a little different down here - a really expensive cut is maybe $75-80, and that's super pricey. so I was having a little bit of sticker shock...but I was expecting an amazing outcome, so I was okay with it. Well, my hair did look very nice when I left the salon, but I tried to explain to him that I have two kids under the age of 4, and not a lot of time to do my hair. He said my only option was the process he was showing me, which takes about 25 minutes. Anyway, like I said, my hair looked very nice - the curls looked beautiful, and had a lot of movement, but it wasn't earth-shattering. My husband actually asked me when I saw him if I had even had it cut. And when I tried to do the style myself, even with all the products and techniques, my hair basically looked like a slightly upgraded version of what I had started with. My hair is medium curly, and it's not so completely out of control, so I think that maybe if you have more unmanageable hair, you will notice a much more dramatic difference. I had a nice experience, and Slavo was a lot of fun. The salon is beautiful, but VERY pricey, so just be prepared.

My experience with Slava at Christo's salon was truly incredible. I first visited the salon for a "curly hair seminar," and was intrigued by the styling process and products that were described at the event. After reading reviews on this site, I made an appointment with Slava, and was eager to see how he would cut and style my hair. Slava was kind and attentive from the moment we met, and took a great deal of time to study my curls. Slava patiently listened to my curly-hair obstacles, and then offered his advice for a haircut and treatment. I made it clear to Slava that I didn't want to take a lot off the length, and Slava was willingly to listen. He walked me through a cut that included artistic layers and flattering angles, and then proceeded to provide detailed lessons for styling my hair. Slava was never pushy about selling the Curlisto products, however once I saw how shiny and soft my hair was, I willingly purchased some of his recommendations.
I was truly amazed by the service at Christo - Slava dedicated nearly an hour and a half to studying, cutting, and styling my hair, without handing me off to assistants. I truly felt that he understood my hair texture, and provided valuable styling tips. I keep getting compliments on his cut, and I will happily return to him in a few months.
I wholeheartedly recommend Slava for a wonderful haircut and curly hair experience!

When planning for my wedding, I was apprehensive about how I was going to wear my hair for the big day. I have curly hair, and I wanted to wear my hair curly and natural for the wedding. After trying many different hair stylists in the NY/NJ area, I was unsatisfied. Then I turned to Rosa, a stylist at Christo 5th Ave. for a hair trial. Rosa was a delight to work with. My curls never looked better. My curls looked ultra-defined and we decide upon a rather unique hairstyle for my wedding. What was amazing to me was that my hair stayed the entire evening and I was dancing the whole night. I was most impressed by Rosa’s professionalism, talent and her patience. To this day, everyone has raved and complemented me on my hairstyle. Rosa, I cannot thank you enough for the outstanding hairstyle for my special day.

She gave me the most amazing cut and did an anti-frizz treatment on my hair. My hair has never felt this soft and frizzles. Now I have all the reasons to come to NYC more frequently. I am typical workaholic..always busy and never having time to take care of my curls. But 3 weeks ago I had a meeting with a client of mine, who also had curly hair, and I was jealous! She really looked amazing. I asked her where she gets her hair done and she said Christo’s on 46th and 5th. So I made an appointment with the same stylist she goes to: Slava. I have to say, this guy really knows his stuff..He had different suggestions on what I can do, while I just had a simple request---make me look great! For me this was more of a makeover and so I let him do what ever he wanted as long as I can have beautiful and healthy hair. I spent a good 2 hours at the salon and it was such a great experience. He started with a haircut followed by an unusual color technique which I have never seen before; he put foils into my hair at the same time that he was coloring it. And the result? I have exotic looking chocolate brown hair with what I was told as Apricot highlights which brought out the definition of my curls. He also opened my face frame, which really brings out my eyes. All I can say is that I felt prettier than I have in several years. I guess change is good! Thank you Slava.

I was so excited to finally visit Christo's salon after having to wait 6 weeks just to see Christo himself. After the cut and color he gave me, i truly understand how important it is to have a style that fits my lifestyle. So now, no matter how long the wait is, it is worth it! He even styled my hair after he was done cutting and coloring it, not like how some other stylists who have their assistants finish their clients off. Christo is not only a stylist, but a true educator when it comes to curly hair. After he was done cutting my hair, he gave me a hair "prescription" and the thing i loved most was that i didn't feel any pressure to purchase his entire line of products (even though i purchased almost everything he prescribed!)

I have kinky curly hair, which I fell in love with about two years ago after growing out a relaxer. I have had difficulty finding a stylist that is willing to work with the hair that I have, enhancing it, instead of trying to change it into something else or taking the easy way out by twisting or braiding. Tameeka works with your hair to make it the best it can be. I thought I was in love before but I've found new appreciation for my hair thanks to Tameeka's expertise. This stylist also scheduled enough time to REALLY educate me on how to properly maintain that salon look. Believe me; I have tried everyone else before, nobody can do such a fantastic job as Christo. I guess I hold it back from Christo because his cuts are $395, but it is worthy every single penny, especially his educational consultation. He got my hands on to try how to style and showed me how many options of style I can get with his cut, and he told me he doesn’t like his clients to feel bored with their hair. Girls, you would not believe the options that you can have.

Having a haircut has always been a nightmare to me especially after a bad one. A friend of mine called me and suggested I should visit this hair stylist. She calls him “King Christo”.
‘Do I need to dress up to enter his kingdom?’ I joked and laughed. ‘Just go for a consultation. This man takes hair very seriously. He might be able to help you’, she said.
After $100 consultation fee, Christo educated me for 15 minutes, and showed me how bad I was treating my hair, that’s why I hate my hair, not because my hair is that bad.
(By the way, he is the most well dressed stylist I’ve ever seen in my life.)
With his knowledge, I had the confidence in him. So he helped me to schedule an emergency appointment 2 weeks later.
Back to his chair, after one and half hours haircut and treatment, I look like a Hollywood star. I wouldn’t even tell how much I ended up spending. The knowledge and transformation of my curls are priceless.
You got to see it to believe it.

Ok so yes I admit it! I ruined my hair from all those Japanese hair straitening. But I’ve always hated my curly hair; it’s always been such a pain taking care of it. I’m no expert on all those salons that “specialize” in curly hair so choosing the right place wasn’t easy. One of the places I went to was Christo’s and met with a young good looking guy named Slava. Although he was working on another client when I showed up he stopped by to introduce himself and offered me a glass of wine. The attention was definitely nice. It didn’t take long before he came by and we had a thorough conversation on what products they use at Christo’s and what options I have for fixing my hair. Besides the fact that he was very knowledgeable, I have to say he just made me comfortable. Slava wasn’t pushy and wasn’t trying to convince me of something that I didn’t want or need. I asked for an appointment and came back a few days later. And what can I say; this guy has magic hands or something ?. During the entire process I didn’t have a worry in the world as I could tell he knew what he was doing and my hair is in good hands. He didn’t rush and really took his time to find the best way to undo the mess I made. I generally don’t like to write reviews as there plenty of them as is, but I just wanted to recommend Slava, as he is not only a very knowledgeable and professional stylist, but also gave me the attention that other stylist sometimes don’t want to bother themselves with.

It’s not that I discriminate against female stylists, but you know from all my experiences, I just find that men are better listeners. Sorry ladies! After reading the reviews on about Christo Fifth Avenue, I made an appointment with a stylist named Slava. The salon itself is very nice; brown & gold shades all around, leather couches and all the stylists dressed in black, kinda gave me this relaxing, soothing vibe in the middle of the busiest street in the world. Slava greeted me as soon as I arrived and offered something to drink before my wash. He started asking me if I have a particular look in mind or if I wanted his opinion on what he thinks would look great on me. This was nice for a change, for someone to actually care about my opinion. I wanted something new yet nothing too complicated that I wouldn’t be able to manage on my own, so he gave me several different suggestions and ideas. While I was getting my hair washed he came by several times and asked if I wanted anything or if I am comfortable. While he was cutting my hair we had a pleasant conversation and I didn’t even notice how time flew by and he was finished. Not only did he do a fabulous job, but he also gave me directions on how to keep up my hair so that it doesn’t only look great on the day I got it done, but every day. When I got home, my boyfriend said I look younger, so thank you Slava!

I decided to grow out my relaxer, and after a year and a half of having the new growth blown straight, I decided to cut the relaxed ends off. Tameeka was great, she decided not to cut it all off right away because I was used to having very long hair, and since I was having a baby, she suggested I needed it long enough to put in a ponytail. So she cut most of it back, conditioned my hair and made it so easy for me to deal with my new curls. Another 8 months later, she cut off the rest of the permed ends, and now I'm curly forever and LOVING it. The cut is fantastic, always looks great, is so easy to deal with. Parties, weddings, birthdays, everyone having a good time but for me getting ready for such events, was always unbearable. I was born with very curly hair which was practically impossible to manage and for years I dreaded getting ready in the mornings. My hair was always very frizzy, dry and unmanageable. During humid or rainy days I felt like putting a hat on because nothing helped. I have practically tried everything on the market from gels to special treatments. Now I am in my forties and finally a miracle has arrived. Not too long ago, I walked into Christo’s on 5th Ave. Slava, a bright, young stylist and hair expert patiently listened to all my complaints that I had for years, and offered me a number of chemical and non chemical solutions. We decided to start off with Anti-frizz and follow up with Intensive treatment and then continued with a great cut. Afterwards, he wrote me a personalized “hair prescription” but instead of pressuring me to purchase the entire line, he suggested that I finish some of the products that I have but to use the Deep Therapy Masque every week to maintain healthy curls. I was thrilled to hear that someone has finally created a solution for curly hair that is unmanageable. After so many years I will now finally look forward to getting ready for those special occasions. Thank you, Slava.

I've been asking for Tameeka for years. She always gives me exactly what I asked for and made great suggestions along the way. I was letting it grow for years but then I went from very long to quite short and everyone said it was very sophisticated and made me look younger that my chronological age. The cut was unusual with a short back and longer sides in the front. I felt very glamorous.

First, let me share that I was one Latina that had a diffiuclt time embracing my curls, until I met My Hair Doctor, that is what I call Tameeka. I met with Tameeka over 2 years ago after being so very frustrated with the person I was dealing with. My cut was off, my color was horrible--much to dark for my light skin and I was at my wits end. Then, the miracle worker happened. We had a 2 ½ hour consultation, yes for I had loads of questions and Tameeka was up for the challenge. I wanted her to work her magic right then and there, not, for Tameeka was booked. Tameeka not only explained why the cut was off, but how to work the proper products to bring my beautiful curls alive. Needless to say, Tameeka has taught me to embrace my curls and I love, love, love my beautiful, healthy curls!!!

Tameeka is a treasure. For years I have struggled with bad haircuts because so many stylists do not know how to cut curly hair. I was truly traumatized until I found Tameeka. She is great with curly hair and knows how to cut it to suit your type of curl and your facial features. I've been going to Tameeka for years and followed her from Ouidad to Christo and if she shoud ever leave, I'll continue to follow her. A note about the salon -- it's FABULOUS -- everyone there is great, friendly and the scalp massage you get when they wash your hair is worth the trip alone. The salon is trendy yet, unlike others salons, not the least bit snobby. I love Tameeka and I love Christo Fifth Avenue and his products ROCK!

As a model, it's difficult to find a stylist and products to undo damage caused to my hair from the days and days of heat applied during photoshoots. Thank God for Tameeka. I grew out a relaxer and have 4B hair, and I can say truthfully that if not for her talents as a stylist with carving, slicing and styling. I would not so be such a faithful client. I followed her from her past salon, and I'll follow her wherever else she decides to work her magic.

Review:
I've read other rave reviews on this site about Cypriano at Christo Fifth Avenue, and they were all absolutely correct! Christo Fifth Avenue is a great salon and Cypriano is a true master! I had my first haircut and color/highlights here in September 2006. For the first time in my life, my curly hair was in the hands of someone who truly understood how to work with it. Although Cypriano made recommendations as to Curlisto products, there was no pressure to buy anything at all. I did purchase the recommended products, and am very happy I did. It took me a while to figure out exactly how to work with them on my hair, and when I went back for a trim and touch-up in November 2006 I hadn't quite mastered the process. After giving me another expert cut and color application, Cypriano patiently walked my through the steps required to make my hair look its best when I did it at home. It is now January 2007 and I am happy to report that I'm totally comfortable fixing my hair myself. Cypriano's artistry corrected many years of really bad haircuts. My hair looks great! Thank you Christo Fifth Avenue, and thank you Cypriano!

Since going to Christo I have been transformed!!! Five years ago I had supershort brassy colored hair because no one could help me to style it. Now my once frizzy mess is a head of long, thick and well defined curls. I am amazed. People acutally stop me on the street to compliment my hair! Like most curly haired folk I was traumatized by years of bad hair cuts; so it took me a while to trust the process at Christo. First I learned to style my hair. Wow!! Then Cyriano colored my hair a lush brown with caramel highlights. Finally, I trusted enough to let him use the anti-frizz. I am only sorry I waited so long and now I can't wait to have the bio-softening done. My hair just keeps getting better. I don't just tolerate my curls, but I even feel glamoruous with them. TRULY AMAZING!!!!!

I went to Alice based on the reviews here. I flew out from Chicago specifically to get my hair cut here. I think Alice is a very nice lady, but the cut I received was the basic run of the mill cut that my local guy can do for me for $40. On the bright side, we had a great day in NY.

Alice did such an incredible job cutting my hair. I never felt rushed or pressured to buy their products. Alice was very, very knowledgable about my hair, and she gave me some great styling tips. My haircut took two and a half hours, and when I left the salon, I felt like the hottest woman alive. It's been a week, and I'm still getting compliments!! I highly recommend her to anyone who wants their hair to look unbelievable!

Alice is such a great stylist. She took time to talk with me my first time there about what I wanted. As she styled my hair she showed me how I could do it myself at home. Of course it never looks as good when I try. I always look forward to my next appt. and I very enthusiastically recommend Alice if you want to look great.

I can honestly say that no man (or woman) will ever touch my curls again! Cypriano has changed my life (for the better!). For years I have had long, unmanageable and frizzy hair that I only wore in a ponytail. After my first visit to Christo's salon and my first meeting with Cypriano, I started to love and embrace my naturally curly hair. After a few visits, Cypriano finally convinced me to go for a short cut. I really had no idea what my hair was capable of! I can't believe I waited so long... Now I have a STYLE! After I lost the ponytail, I also started wearing a little make up and accessorizing my outfits with fun and funky earrings. I actually feel like I got a makeover... When my friends see pictures of the "old me" they can't even believe the transformation. It's a hair miracle! Thank you Cypriano!
