I'm delurking to say I've enjoyed reading this thread. I'm shiny new to this whole curly thing and I can imagine how annoying it must be to have strangers touching you. I'd suggest the spray bottle, used liberally while shouting "NO! BAD!"

BAD!" __________________ 2B low porosity low elasticity fine texture I'm not CG - tried it and failed for two years. My scalp hates it.
