To me "big" isn't really a negative or a positive. With Solomon, I carried a lot like medussa (all belly) and so when people told me I was big I didn't get offended because I knew I had gained an appropriate amount of weight, in the right places. I think if I had gained a lot all over and was self-conscious already, then people calling me "big" would more easily offend me. But to me, a "big" belly is like how medussa's carrying, or how I carried, or iris I think too - all petite people so the baby has nowhere to go but straight out.
And medussa, I hear you about the comments when you're kid's a peanut. I get them all the time but then I tell people, yeah, he's small, but I'm small too so what could I expect?
It's nice to be important, but it's more important to be nice.
