Even though I prefer the security and the large social safety net of the social democracy style European countries, I do appreciate the flexibility of the US style economic system. I hope that we can find a way to have the best of both worlds. I try to be optimistic about it, but it can be hard. We do have a history of being innovators, and I hope we can reclaim that somehow.
Another thing I love about the USA is that we have the most gorgeous national parks.
I also like that we have so many different types of places to live. You have New York City, you have Hollywood, you have the Rockies, the Plains, the South, you have rural, urban, prairies, deserts, mountains, oceans, lakes, fields, I could go on. So much variety.
