I'm totally going back to basics.
I've tried plopping, and upside down rinsing, upside down diffusing and going CG and laying 472 different products in an attempt to get more clumps/shine/curl. And you know what - none of it gives me any of those things!! I've just wound up with my hair looking the same except with a greasy scalp and funky looking roots.
Now I'm back to shampooing every day or every other day (mostly sulphate-free, but with sulphates a couple of times a week), conditioning and using a tiny bit of conditioner as a leave in. Then styling with ONE product and leaving to air dry. It's an improvement on what I had with all the fancy techniques and doesn't take me all day.
I don't have perfect glossy curls like a lot of the CG girls here do, but I'm never going to have them and don't want months/years worth of manky 'transition' hair on the off-chance I'll find a winning combo.
Back to basics for me!! Though, have to admit I'm staying cone-free!
