Are you more of a "woman" if you have a natural childbirth?
I've been reading a lot on this board lately as I have a 3 month old at home and was just wondering how people felt about natural childbirth vs. using drugs.
It seems to me that a lot of people have the attitude of "oh I feel so strong and proud and womanly" after natural childbirth. Sometimes I almost get the feeling that people look down on those who choose to have an epidural or whatever.
Do people really think that natural is more impressive? I guess that's kind of the feeling I get sometimes, like those who use drugs aren't as strong or something. I don't know, I had an epidural and I still felt strong and proud and womanly when I pushed my baby girl out. Plus I was able to enjoy the experience without distractions so given the choice I would certainly choose to have another baby that way vs. naturally.
I don't mean to offend anyone or anything, just curious what you all thought.
