How BCing is the way to go to go natural. I grew out my relaxer in 1999 and never even dreamed of a big chop. I simply went to the salon once every two weeks and had my hair washed and "pressed" as we did it in those days. mostly, she flat ironed my roots. When I didn't go to the salon i'd slick my hair back into a ponytail or bun. No one ever noticed i was going natural and I never experienced any shedding or breakage. I did get trims every 6-8 weeks, but that was it. There wasn't really any such thing as a "natural stylist" back then. and the only real deep conditioning I did was with straight up cholesteral. It took about a year and a half. When I was done I was left with a head full of 4a curls. I guess BCing is cool is you have the immediate natural look, but I'm okay with straight hair. I only grew out my relaxer so my own hair could be more full. The relaxer made my hair thin, thin, thin.
