I also started my natural journey last year as well (10/09/09). I have also begin cutting my relaxed ends off! So far I have cut bout 3-5 inches off my hair! But to keep your hair healthy I recommend using organic products and using little heat on your hair. You should co-wash your hair 1-2 times and week, this will keep your hair moisturized and prevent your hair from being dry. You may want to shampoo your hair every 2-3weeks. Cleaning your hair too much will cause it to dry out, I have learned. I also recommend using Sheamoisture's hair care line found at Target (good product for reasonable prices). And you may want to experience in the kitchen with all natural products: my favorite that I made is a Coconut oil, honey, and shea butter blend that I use on my hair as a daily moisturizer. I hope this info has helped!
Good luck on you NATURAL journey!
