I use AV juice in my refresher spritzes b/c I find it moisturizing and I love aloe for my hair, but here is a great article oh pH and the hair cuticle:

Basically, the article states that the cuticle separation distance is within the same range between pH 4 -9. She cites the scientific journal from where she got her information, and the blogger is a chemist.

I understand that people like Kimmaytube but she is NOT the authority on natural hair.
