my hair type/texture is pretty close to his and i get similar results styling it dry. you can use a pomade afterwords for shine if you like.

leaving the twists/coils in over night will help hold the style.
some people twist for a week and then untwists the next. but i co wash my hair 3x a week sooo that doesn't fly for me.lol
