I agree with Reeky, you may need to reduce the amount of castor oil in your mix--especially once you have your skin under "control." I started at 25% castor oil and now only use 10%. My "main" oil is sunflower oil. I also add apricot, sweet almond and rice bran to the mix--mostly because I had them around.
I use facial serums most of the year as my moisturizer. When it's cold and dry in the winter, I use tamanu, emu or camellia oil as my moisturizer. The tamanu is REALLY healing when my skin get chaffed.
