No. I think mineral oil is a by product of petroleum when they make gasoline. From Wikipedia, "A mineral oil or liquid petroleum is a liquid by-product of the distillation of petroleum to produce gasoline and other petroleum based products from crude oil."
Caster oil is a oil pressed from the castor bean/seed.
My hair doesn't care for either, but the castor is fine in my OCM mix.
