It's def part product part technique and part weather.

I agree! I can duplicate product and process, but get different results if I don't take the weather into account. Humidity, rain, wind, temperature all matter (to me). I'd be lying if I said I had it all figured out:-), but I do have some techniques that seem to be working. For example, when it's dry and cold I leave a bit more conditioner in; when it's humid, I use a couple of drops of oil to smooth my canopy; when it's windy, a *lot* more gel.

Right now I'm experimenting with baby shampoo and leaving in more conditioner. I hate to say it, but it's working better than HCC, which seemed to be weighing my hair down too much. We'll see if it keeps up!
Couple of inches past shoulder length 3A. Shampoo every 3rd or 4th day w/ baby shampoo; Tigi Fashionista conditioner; back to Condition 3-in-1 mousse . Alternate days water rinse, conditioner and mousse.
