Coconut oil can work for some people with acne, but it really depends. You have to make sure you aren't applying too much. It's really very easy to apply too much. How much to use depends on whether your skin is oily, normal or dry.

For me, when I was using straight coconut oil, I only needed about 4 or so drops of it and I have dry skin. I don't have acne, but I do know it works for a some people with acne.

Now having said that, it is a heavier oil and can possibly clog your pores. The quality of the oil can affect how it works too. It's best to use a unrefined virgin coconut oil.
