Was that comment directed at me?

I wear my scarves under my coat, so they don't get wet. They're appropriate for daywear indoors, they serve as an extra layer that's versatile. I have the silk ones for when I need to throw something over my head during a snowstorm. And a wool pashmina to wrap around myself (coat and all) for when it's below zero and I find myself needing to walk a lot.

I simply cannot wear wool against my skin. I'm very sensitive to it.
