Yeah I agree with the ditching carbs to drop some pounds fast. Atkins-- or even the Phase One of the South Beach diet is good, too.

There are also a couple of "old school" diets that work pretty well. One is Stillmans Quick Weight loss and the other is the Scarsdale Diet. Scarsdale is probably the "healthier" of the two. Just google it and you can find the 2 week plan online. It's lower-carb, low-calorie. But lots of fruits and veggies too.

This is actually a good topic-- I'm going to Nashville in mid-April and am hoping to drop 8-10 pounds by then also!
