I was all set to make ras el hanout-spiced kofta (with very inauthentic/blasphemous pork), garlic yogurt sauce, sumac fried onions, caramelized cauliflower, and braised carrot coins. All to go inside homemade semolina buns. But my brother needs me to watch my nephew for a few hours this evening, and since I won't be able to cook anyway, I might as well walk the 6.5 miles over there. Ah well, tomorrow.
Maybe I'll go with some sheet trays, ingredients, and an oven thermometer (they just moved, I don't know how their oven heats) and bake some cookies. What's better in a new apartment than the scent of freshly baked cookies?
