Welcome

You should do a search for building a hair regimen and check out the 4a/b Guide to Basic Hair thread in the 4b section. Learning about the porosity of your hair my help you determine whether to apply products to wet or dry hair.

Basically you need a moisturizer, cleanser and conditioner. Since your hair is very dry maybe you should try using the deep treatment once a week for 30 minutes or so under a shower cap. A lot of people use a cheap conditioner mixed with some oils to detangle, then co-wash or shampoo, followed by deep conditioning. After the conditioner is washed out add leave-in moisturizer and seal the ends with an oil.

I know nothing about gels or curly puddings, so hopefully someone else will respond.
