Oh have you tried any of the "natural" methods to start labor or had your membranes swept?

I was told those reasons too - about the placenta getting old and the big baby - but I haven't seen anything to suggest that they definitely happen at 42 weeks on (or that a big baby is an issue - people have big babies earlier too and survive don't they?)

I have not had my membranes swept - sounds painful and then doesn't that open me to infection/being on the clock if my water breaks?

Natural methods - I think I am going to start some of them today. Which ones did you have in mind?
