I lost my weight originally doing the southbeach plan - which is very similar to Atkins, but has more emphasis on low fat proteins. I'm not a huge starch eater(bread, pasta,potatoes, rice), so that was never much of an issue - for me - it's more the sweet/fat combo - ie: cookies, ice cream, chocolate bars. I need to get back to having a piece of fruit for my sweet fix. And I did that successfully for more than a year, so I know it's possible. I just gotta DO IT!
