Hard water or soft water: ??
Average climate/dew points:
seasonal dews. winter is very low, summer is 60+ & spring/fall are my faves
Do you PT? If so how often?
Just started this recently and realized my hair loves PT so 1x/week for now. Will def reduce after a while
30- 45 mins or so
PT with heat or steam?
Colorful Neutral Protein Filler
Favorite products that contain protein?
Giovanni conditioners have soy protein in them
Proteins your hair likes?
not sure - haven't tried too many but no issues with what I have tried (soy, keratin)
Proteins your hair dislikes?
Do you DT? If so, how often?
DT with heat or steam?
right now Shea Miosture Trauma Masque. going to try Jessicurl WDT in lower dewpoints since it has less humectants
Favorite products to moisturize your hair:
Juice Organics Smoothing Conditioner. BWC leave-in, Givanni LI
behentrimonium methosulfate, glycerin, jojoba oil, olive oil, shea butter, panthenol, aloe
Do you seal? If so, what do you use to seal?
pomade (John Masters) but it's more as anti-humectant than sealing moisture
Do you avoid humectants? If so, which humectants do you avoid? Do you avoid them at all dew points or only certain dew points?
I've only paid attention to ingredients for a few months but so far my hair LOVES humectants. But it was spring with the best dews. I'm going to reduce them in my styling products in the summer humidity - causing major frizz. And from what I understand I should minimize them in winter as well - plan to.
Low dew point combos:
not sure - haven't done this low dews yet
Normal dew point combos:
BWC LI with vegetable glycerine mixed in. Topped off with Garnier Pure Clean gel. High dew point combos:
currently using Giovanni LI with HESMU gel. Occasionally topped off with John Masters anti-humectant pomade. It's not bad but not loving it either...
Shea Moisture Trauma Mask, GTTT shampoo, Juice Organics Smoothing conditioner. But that's over a few months. I'm a PJ so this is hard
