First off, I don't have 24-hour news, but MY GOSH. I heard on either the CBC or NPR the sirens last week and it was truly bone-chilling. What an awful disaster the combination of snow and rain and fast melt and too many generations since the last flood will do. DH is reading to me just now about the potential for a massive tree die-off in of the gallery forest (riverside trees). I haven't been to Minot in over 10 years, but I seem to recall that's about the only place trees grew (aside from in town). But if you must have a disaster, let it be in the presence of North Dakotans. Maybe more true of the less-urban ones, but still. Salt of the Earth.
On the happier side - sounds to me like you might have less-porous hair than before and possibly more elasticity. Looks that way too. All the new growth, TLC, protein and coconut oil good stuff you've given it! Chuck some hairs in the mail to me and I'll throw them under my microscope!
Your cut looks good to me. You can always tweak it as it grows. Mine is a longer version of yours and I have a shorter top layer because it won't let the lower layers curl if I let it grow too long.
This must be your curly "graduate's degree."
