Good for you for wanting to take care of your hair. The sooner you start the better. It does look like you have heat damage, which is why some of your hair won't curl anymore. Try laying off the heat permanently, and deep condition frequently (a few times per week for as long as necessary until your hair is healthier). You might even need to do a drastic cut to get rid of all the damaged hair... have you considered a short hair cut?

Without knowing your hair's porosity I can't say what will "improve your texture", but conditioning is usually good for all kinds of textures. You just have to find a conditioner that you like.

Not sure if anemia will affect your hair, but it might.. poke around the forums and maybe this has been addressed in other threads.
