Welcome to the site . It's nice to see more curlies my age on here!

I was also in the same place last year when I was starting my first year of college. I did my BC in August last year and I couldn't be happier. I also had a TON of heat/neglect damage. In all honesty a fresh start is THE easiest way to deal w/ this kind of damage. The shock of having NO hair at all gave me the wake up call that I needed to put down the 400 degree flat iron and the at home relaxers. If you finally decide to cut your hair really short and you don't feel comfortable w/ the length, invest in some nice wigs to hold you out until you're at a more comfortable length. That's what I did for my first year of college and it was a great opportunity for me to get to know my hair and find what works before debuting it to the world. Look around the site some more to find products you want to try and start building a HEALTHY hair care regimen and you'll be on the right track in no time. Hope this post helped you some, and good luck on your hair journey.
