When I started getting gray I cut my hair into a chin length bob and kept trimming it up to that length as the gray grew in. Then I let it grow out, just trimming it when it needed it. In the summer spend alot of time in the sun, ride on my guy's harleys, and ride in convertibles so my hair does get damaged and tangled so I do have to trim it sometimes. Plus it doesn't grow real fast so it has taken a few years to get to the length it is now (not quite bra strap length in back when wet).
